I (foolishly?) upgraded to 1.1.3 and now whenever I try to access the EDGE network, I get a popup saying, "Could not activate EDGE: You are not subscribed to EDGE". I have the EDGE icon (little blue E) and EDGE worked fine before the upgrade. D'oh!

Where is "this area?" How long have you had your problem, starfishy? I'm in the SF Bay Area and have not had troubles until today.

Yeah, sounds like this is a regional issue that happened to occur today. Whoops. I will call ATT and try to get them to open a ticket.

I have the same problem, upgraded to 1.1.3 this morning and now I have no edge support anymore. I am NOT in the SF area, I am in the Tri-cities, WA area. This weekend I will be going to Seattle, and I am sure it wont work there either.

UPDATE: The quick fix which activates the pay-per-use text/edge is also not working. The system drops the fix every 24 hours, plus I imagine they don't want to devote man hours to manually adjusting affected accounts. AT&T's position is that they will not continue to do the quick fix, rather they told me to wait 24hrs as they work on a permanent solution.. They also credited my account $20 for inconvenience and told me to look for WiFi. I laughed. Where's Chicago Muni-WiFi when you need it?
I had the same problem yesterday morning, prior to the release/install of 1.1.3. It happened to be the day after my GoPhone account automatically refreshed, so I think it's more likely that the cause of the "You are not subscribed to EDGE" problem.
I called customer support and was told: 1) They (some) are aware of AT&T problems that cause the MediaNet package to drop from your account when you are charged the monthly fee, even though my account was setup for the iPhone data package and refreshed fine last month. 2) My text package (200) was also dropped. 3) The rep added the MediaNet and text package back on my account and told me that it would not be effective until the next auto-debit (1 month). 4) Unacceptable, asked to transfer to a supervisor, mysteriously disconnected.
I finally got a hold of a service rep: 1) She was aware of the problem, manually fixed it by adding pay per use internet and text. She was going to monitor my account so she could reimburse amounts being charged as they happened up to when the problem was resolved by AT&T. 2) Approximately $80 was charged and added in 5 hrs worth of casual internet/email use-- ouch
Edge stopped working this morning, time to call back and have it manually added? This does not appear to be a problem with 1.1.3! This is AT&T's issue with the way the computer refreshes your monthly iPhone data package.
