I cant download the Mobile IM application off Media Net. It tells me the software is not compatible with my device, but it worked on the Pearl. I need my aim messenger on my blackberry. I dont really want to pay for Jivetalk either. I heard Rambler lets you do aim, but you have to sign off your computer account before logging in and thats inconvient as I leave my laptop on all day with AOL on when Im at work. Has anyone here downloaded mobile IM on their Curve??

Hello - Mobile IM is currently unavailable for the Curve 8300. The IM feature should be available for the Curve by the end of this month.

Guess what everybody, I downloaded AT&T's mobile IM for the curve this morning at 8'clock. It works and I IM'ed my friend on the train into work. Download it now! Remember, use it if you have unlimited messaging because IM uses texts. HOORAY!

Could you link me with that site? I was wondering if that was available yet, and I can't seem to find it.
Thanks!

Even though it costs $20 or $30, depending on the license you choose, JiveTalk is a much better application.  In addition to the fact that it uses data, not messages, it will work with AIM, Yahoo, GoogleTalk, etc. simultaneously.  Well worth the cost of the app IMO.

Use the Blackberry Browser on your phone.

2. Click on the "Try It" link.  Scroll down towards the bottom, and choose the OS you have for your phone.  8100 Pearls and 8300 Curves both run OS 4.2.

3. Check the "accept license agreement" box.

4. Click the "continue to download" box.

5. Click "download" when prompted.

The phone will download and install the rest of the program automatically.
