months of November 2006 - February 2007 may find they are experiencing dropped calls
or poor signal reception. After extensive testing by Samsung and AT&T they have
found some internal components are wearing over time and causing the antennae
connection to loosen causing poor signal and dropped calls.

Samsung has implemented some design changes to fix these issues: they changed a
coating within the device back in February which improved RF and have made several
hardware changes recently to improve the reception even more. There have been no
issues with call performance with all new hardware manufactured from March 2007
forward.

Customers who have purchased the Samsung BlackJack i607 and are affected by the

Where did you find this info?

I see no discernable way to tell when the phone was manufactured.

It is based off of purchase date from my resources

What about under the battery to the right of the "Made in Korea" line, there are four digits possibly yy.mm  Mine is 06.12  Dec. 2006 maybe??  Or am I stretching?

i would call 1 888 987 4357 (samsung mobile) and give them your imie and they could probly look it up for you.

From a source of mine from AT&T, i'm sure you could ask a store manger as well.  Also it was only announced to store employees.

I just called Warranty Exchanged and talked to a rep named Josh.  He confirmed an "advisory" with the manufactured dates above.  He confirmed mine was manufactured the month after the advisory so it's all good here.

Just called Samsung, was passed around a few times and of the 3 people I talked with none had heard of this advisory.
