So, I purchased a 580i from my local ATT store today, and, much to my shagrin, after updating to the newest PC Suite and newest Disc2Phone, I cannot transfer music to my phone from my computer. Whenever I plug in the phone, and double click the drive that shows up, it prompts me to enter a disc into the drive, Also, whenever I open Disc2Phone, it says that I must enter a memory card or hook up my phone through the USB Cable, which it already is. I had a w600i and loved it, but I'm having so much difficult with something that shouldn't be too different. Thanks for any help!

With the 300i, I have the phone off, plug in the USB cord to the phone, then the computer. Then I open disc2phone, it's ready to go.

ok im having the same problem. i had the 810i and i already had the disc2phone and the file manager installed on my pc. now when i plug in my 580i to the pc. it says its not connect for usb "phone mode" to use the windows explorer to just drag and drop my music/photos. so im not quite sure what is going on, i've search the web and have found nothing. so any help if you guys have found anything out...thanks!!!!

well thats what im trying to do but even when i have it connected its not recognized as a removable drive on my pc, on my pc it actually says "local area connection 3 a network cable is unplugged".

I might be able to help. To access disc2phone your phone has to be in file transfer mode or disc2phone software will not detect it. you can use phone mode to transfer files using windows explorer though but not with disc2phone... and for lennynhazel, the network cable being unplugged doesnt affect your internet or ur ability to transfer anything between ur computer and ur phone. Its just there  Hope i could be of some help. |
