So, A Few months ago, My Microcell started disconnecting. Dropping calls, and the phones wouldn't connect to it. Everything appeared ok with the Microcell, All the proper lights were on, and nothing seemed wrong, except that the phone service showed crappy ATT with only one bar, barely.
Then it increasingly got worse and worse. Every day I would have to reset the microcell. Now, no matter what I do, the Service bars flash all the time, and I am unable to use my phones without going outside in my backyard and facing north, or south depending on what ear I am using....
Why do these things suck so bad, and what can I do to fix this? I know it's not my internet. I have 10Meg service down, and 5 meg upload... The microcell is sitting right next to the Window, and shows it has GPS connectivity...
HELP!!!!

It's possible that there was a tower upgrade in your area which confuses the MicroCell as it moves around your house/property to the point that it doesn't know which signal to lock onto and stay locked on to. Try turning off the MicroCell and see what happens to your phone coverage. If there is no difference then it could be the MicroCell starting to fail at which case, I hate to say it, but you should probably contact support (a misnomer) and see about a replacement if you're still under warranty.

It seems this might be fairly common with the Microcell Towers... it sound nearly identical to my issues. I just replaced the tower and it's working (the old one looked like it was working too) and my phone is communicating with it MOST of the time. I'm on day two. The cell phone seems to lose the signal occasionally and I have to turn it on and off. The tower has all solid green lights. The old one, which was 2 weeks old, had all green lights as well, but the phone (s) would not connect. We'll see if I have to keep turning my cell on and off to find it.

I have been a long term customer. Ever since I had to switch over to att. I have had trouble ever since ! 3 in a half years I got a microcell and still having trouble ! They replaced the microcell. My phones wont even work with it at all ! My warranty's are up on all my phones and they cant do anything for me ! Iam upset with att ! I have call to many times and nothing can get resolved! I am just tired of paying 200 a month and not getting the service that I pay for ! When my contract is up. Iam going to leave att . This is the worse service ever and I have medical issue and I cant rely on att ! Iam very upset with att ! All I want is some free smartphones !

We would all like free smartphones but that's not going to happen
What exactly has been your problems and what kind of phones do you have? VZ might be a better choice for you but keep in mind that they too use femtocells when in-home coverge is bad on their service.
