I have used mine in two locations in the past without any issues getting it activated. Now when I try to set it up in either of these two locations, it will not activate. OLAM just says Activation Error. I know I'm doing it right, because it's worked fine in the past. What's going on with these things?

Also try power-cycling your broadband router at the same time you power-cycle your MicroCell. i've taken to power-cycling our home's 3 key routers wevery week:
- MicroCell
- FiOS router (broadband router)
- Aruba router that provides VPN to corporate network.
Broadband routers have limited memory, all the fancy tricks the MicroCell and VPN perform can use it up. Then your broadband router gets flakey.

I live in VA and in my town I have no ATT service, however this tricky device allows me to have 5 bars at my house. I have had this blinking green light problem until I changed the way my cat5 cables run through my devices.
1. begin from your modem to the 3G tower
2. from 3G tower to wireless router
3. If you have "too much" signal you may experience connection loss
I personally have run a separate line for my internet/3G tower so my TV signal isnt lost or my service is not interupted.

That configuration is what is referred to as a priority connection and is used mainly for troubleshooting even though some people find that it is the only way to get a reliable connection. It's sometimes necessary when your router isn't configured properly to allow the AT&T internet to make a reliable connection to the MicroCell. I'm a bit confused though. If you don't have AT&T service (AT&T 3G capable phone) how can you register the MicroCell because it activates based on your AT&T account and address location? It also needs to be able to lockin via GPS to a nearby AT&T tower.
