Takes several seconds before I can hear anything

Hi. When I call out on my iPhone on the Microcell, it takes a few seconds of static and silence before the call seems to resolve itself and I can have a conversation. This only seems to be for outgoing calls and lasts for about 6 seconds. Most of the time I can keep the other party on the line and when it clears, which it always does, i apologise and say "there we go...." 

Any idea why this is happening. It never used to. it's being going on for about two months now.

Hey. I have the same problem, and even worse.

Not only do I get the same kind of static and silence for few sec when I call someone, but also, whenever I pick up call waiting, I get same kind of static and silence that doesn't go away even when I switch back to the 1st line. In other words, after picking up call waiting, I'm stuck with static and silence, and the only option is to drop both calls. This happens only when I'm connected to Microcell. Let me know if you have the same problem.
