I live in a very low signal area (even with 2 towers less than 10 miles away in either direction) and AT&T said they would credit my account $200 since service is so bad around my house where the microcell would be almost free. I think they said I'd just have to pay for the shipping and handling. So basically I'd be getting it for $20.

I would like that reps name. Did you have a contract or anything left on it? What would it cost you to exit your contact?
I have the same issue but it would cost $600 to walk away from ATT. I am wondering if they will give away the microcell if the cost model makes sense for them - but they are happy to have you pay more to fix poor service (even when the maps say it is a good area) if it costs you a boat load of cash to cancel. Basically turning what could be a good customer into someone who want leave a soon as possible.....

He's not exiting his contract, he's getting his MicroCell for about $20 instead of $200, if I read his post correctly. I got my MicroCell for about $80 over a year ago becaues of issues and credit. It's been rock solid since.
