Here is my problem:
I am recieving spam texts from 10 digit numbers, have tried ignoring them, texting them back, reporting them to ATT, and nothing works! Call ATT and they want me to pay $4.99 to block the numbers....really! This is a service that should be avaliable for free!!!! Also they keep changing the number that the texts are coming from, but with the same message. So there is really no way that i really know what number the spam is coming from. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there anyway to resolve this problem without changing my number, which will cost me around $40 bucks to do with ATT?

I'm in the same boat. These spam texts are not coming from email domains, they are coming from spoofed phone numbers that never repeat. You cannot block the phone number because they never reuse the same number. You cannot block a domain because it is not coming from a domain. Right now I usually receive around 2 of these spam messages per day, which is not horrible, but in my opinion is still unacceptable.
Notes:
Forwarding messages on iPhone is not intuitive. You have to click the EDIT button at the top right corner of the message thread. Then click the circle next to the message you want to forward so that it has a check mark inside it. Then click the FORWARD button on the bottom right.
Once you forward the message to 7726 you will get an automated reply from AT&T asking for the phone number that sent you the message. Unfortunately there is no way to copy/paste the phone number from the prior message thread, so you will have to key it in manually.
****DO NOT SUBMIT MULTIPLE SPAM MESSAGES ALL AT ONCE****
You have to submit one message, wait for a reply from AT&T, send them the phone number the spam message came from, THEN move on to the next spam message.
I hope this helps.
