My current residence has spotty service. When I'm home I want to forward my calls to my Google voice number so I can take calls over wifi. Will the forwarded calls count against my minutes, or is there an additional fee involved?

no additional fees, but you will be charged minutes until the call is fully forwarded

I play all sorts of call forwarding games (I even am grandfathered on the old Fast Forward feature) so I'm hardly knocking you, but have you looked at the ATT Microcell's. It turns your wifi into a virtual cell tower. Wingrider01: If you do a conditional call forward to Google Voice (using them in lieu of factory voicemail) is there a charge? The problem with manual call forwarding is that you often forget to do it until it is too late.
phone has to get carrier detect which activates the minute usage. As mentioned in ATT's faqs voicemail does use minutes
