Can't have Family Map and Purchase Blocker at the same time.

I had to have Purchase Blocker added to all my lines because of a scam that was hitting Minnesota and North Dakota AT&T users.  We were getting unsolicited text messages to subscribe to an unwanted service and we were getting billed $9.99 per line for these unwanted text messages.

So Purchase Blocker solved that problem.

What I wasn't aware of is that this also means that you can't have AT&T Family Map service, because it is regarded as a monthly subscription add-on, in the same category as the scammers.  Huh???

So the moral of the story, is you add Purchase Blocker, you can't have AT&T Family Map service, period.  Well the loss is to AT&T, as I can't pay $9.99/mo for Family Map and I also discontinued the unlimitted non-smartphone data for $10/mo as well because it was needed to make Family Map work.  So now AT&T is out $20 month, because they cannot give me AT&T Family Map service and Purchase Blocker at the same time.

have purchase block, family map and navigation on the accounts with no issues, have you tried calling in and having them do it. Purchase block was added a long time before I added family map and navigation, in addition when you added purchase block you would have recieved a email with a PIN code to override the block to buy something on the phone

I had called AT&T Customer Service and the CS agent told me they were incompatible. Maybe I should call again.  It seems like you can call 5 times, and probably get 5 different answers...
