For the life if me, I don't understand why don't we have a button on our Iphones to block unwanted, unsolicited SPAM texts and calls. I'm getting multiple texts every day and multiple calls from a well known spammer from Washington State. Since ATT won't block a good customer who is breaking the law, I've been investigating how to block the calls and I've found I can't without paying ATT $5 a month for a limited number of blocks that are convuluted and difficult to put in place.
This is a total rip off.
I should be able to tap on the number, go to INFO and where it says SHARE CONTACT I should see a button that says BLOCK CONTACT.
I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR REFUSING TO TAKE A CALL! (yes, I am shouting. This make me really, really mad.)
I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO JAILBREAK MY PHONE TO GET AN APP TO REFUSE SPAM!
I've been a loyal ATT customer for decades...literally decades and I'd move to Verizon in two minutes if I find they have a spam blocker for texts and calls on the Iphone. I'm looking.
ATT should be ashamed of itself fo this truely horrendous display of poor customer service.

I agree. They need to step up options like this or people will switch to providers that can. More and more people are getting rid of their land lines in favor of a cell phone only which means more spam calls (even if you get on the do not call list). AT&T better start listening...

I think they should have this option available on all phones, regardless of if they are smart phones or quick messaging phones. I have also received telemarketing calls on my number, something that rarely happens. I hope AT&T will add a service in the future that allows us to block spam calls and texts.

the service is already there and has been, it just has a monthly reoccurring charge on it
