I came home, called AT&T International and they were able to add the LTE International Unlimited plan back to my account.
Wow- that is amazing and unexpected good news! This is the first case I've heard of an LTE phone being on the $64.99 unlimited International plan. Maybe I will be able to get an iPhone 5 someday after all! ![]()
Thanks for the news! And be sure to let us know if you're connecting via LTE anywhere abroad.

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised as well. I called AT&T International Provisioning on Monday to ask if they could do it and the person who answered said yes and notated on my account. I went in today to upgrade knowing that I could revert back to my old plan should they fail.
I don't think the One X supports any international LTE bands so I will only be roaming on HSPA+ at best. My next trip out of the country will be in October so I'll report back. :-)

For an unlimited plan, the throttling at 3GB seems like fraud. The throttling has been so successful that I can't get adequate coverage of two months ago at my house. Data too slow or non-existent despite 4 bars. Time to check out Sprint or Verizon.
no it is not fraud, it falls within your terms of service and fair use policy. Forget verizon, they no longer have unlimited plans available, just tiered like att. sprint is the only choice you have in the top 3 for "unlimited" plans, there data speeds lieave a lot to be desired though, you are equal to about edge transmit and recieve speeds. You can try some of the lower tiered companies, but even they have limits - cricket and t-mobile have built in throttle limits also. Good lck inyour endevors

I think you're posting to the wrong thread. This thread is about the $64.99/month ATT Unlimited International Data Plan. To my knowledge neither Sprint or Verizon offer anything similar for data roaming abroad.

Thanks to ChronosX's screenshot of the proper SOC code and all the discussion and pointers on this thread, today I was finally able to transfer my unlimited global data plan from my iPhone to an LTE-equipped Samsung Note. (It only took five agents over the course of three days, one of whom had to escalate the case basically all the way to the Supreme Court .)
Moral of the story seems to be: come in well-informed, and politely persist.
Thanks again!

Hey gang-
Much too quiet here...and of course the question we're all waiting on...
Has anyone successfully migrated their Unlimited International Data Plan to an iPhone 5?
Fingers crossed...but keeping my iPhone 4S until we know for sure! ![]()

There is a discussion about it over on the tech section of Flyertalk.com. It looks like some people are suceeding. Even some SOC codes are posted. The 5 will only help me roaming in Canada. The LTE frequencies aren't compatible with Europe or Asia. That makes me think that I should wait for the "5s."

Thanks Stu- I will check out Flyertalk.
I think the fact that the iPhone 5 LTE freqs are not compatible with Europe or Asia could be what saves us. Recall how ATT briefly was refusing to migrate the Unlimited World Data plans to iPhone 4S because they were alledgedly "4G devices". They relented when everyone pointed out that was baloney- certainly when used overseas.
Well, I'm afraid that if indeed the iPhone 5 could connect over LTE in Europe or Asia, that would be the rope that ATT would hang us with to refuse the plan on iPhone 5.
So, fingers crossed...but hanging onto my 4S for now.

Hi again Stu-
I found this thread over in Flyertalk but it sounds inconclusive.
Was it perhaps in another thread? I tried searching by lots of phrases and just not finding it.

as I understood, this plan is grandfathered, but no more available to new ones. So if anyone wants to cancel the plan or still has access to it, I would like to purchase your contract and follow it up. If you consider to sell it with some profit and can (as it's dedicated to businesses, I'm sure this will work out) sent me invoices therefore, please leave me your offer too.
Regards,
Christian

I don't think this plan can be transferred.

I collaegue had a hard time keeping the plan through a divorce where the family bill was chop into his and her packages. Her lawyer actually wound up having to recraft the Judgment of Divorce with specific language to make ATT's customer service happy.

Hey guys in regards to iphone international data plan. Can anyone confirm if there is a standalone plan? ie without a domestic voice plan?
I am currently on a standalone international unlimited blackberry data plan ($69.99 as opposed to the $64.99) and thinking of switching but was told they would have to add a domestic voice plan as well. Is this correct?
Thanks

They told my wife that she would have to add voice when she made the same switch in December 2012. Since I had a family plan with voice we really didn't press the point.

HI,
i currently have a blackberry unlimited international plan., and just bought a blackberry q10.
I switched the sims and the data isnt working.
I was with att 2 hours they were trying different codes and nothing worked. Im roaming right now for the next couple of weeks, so i think maybe i just have to connect to the att network, so the phone can download the service books...
i did try a non blackberry sim card with regular data, and everything worked fine, only my old blackberry sim card isnt working on the new device. Maybe they ahve to remove the blackberry service and add a regular international data plan for smartphones.
any ideas??

Did ATT upgrade you or did you just buy the phone and switch SIMs? You might need them to add the IMEI. Are you using Blackberry Enterprise Server?
