ATT and Motorola Atrix 2 Question

Hello,

I need some help one, of my friend bring to me this phone from the USA - Motorola Atrix 2, he bought it new from shop.
But when I try to use it with my SIM Card, the phone says that he is blocked for ATT network.

I heared that ATT can give me a unlock code, it's true or not?
And if it's true how can i get it?

AT&T will only give SIM unlock codes to their monthly account holders.

You can find paid unlock services online and on eBay, that will get the code for you for around $10 US.
