Captivate "Ringing" when Powering on

I turn my Captivate off every night, and I set my notification ringer on vibrate 98% of the time. When I turned the phone off before I went to bed, I probably accidentally turned the ringer volume on. In the morning, I powered the phone on and it made the normal Galaxy S power-on noise while it was turning on.

But while the phone was running the media scanner when it was turned on all they way, I heard a weird "ringing" noise coming from either one of my phones that were sitting on my nightstand. I thought it was my iPhone, but it ended up being my Captivate. I turned the "ringing" noise off and set the phone on vibrate. I was curious as to what caused it, but I disregarded it and moved on.

Yesterday during an important quiet session with a group of people, I accidentally turned the phone on and it started making that weird "ringing" noise again. I did not think it was my phone because I thought I had it set on vibrate. Turns out, it was mine. What an embarrassment...

Does anyone have any idea as to what the weird "ringing" noise could be when I first power on my phone? Could it be the media scanner running as it usually does when the phone powers on?

That sounds strange, WB. There was no other notification other than the phone being turned on?

Nope, there was not. No new notification of text messages, missed calls, etc. I do have voicemails in my voicemail box that are months old that I never listened to, but I doubt that's it...

This happens with my captivate, too. I notice it most when I turn my phone on after the battery has died and the phone has shut itsself off. I can only making the ringing stop by placing a call. It's definitely a disrupting sound, anyone else having this problem? Any solutions?
