I find it interesting that the s3 has a poor reception signal. Even going into a lot of stores you will loose all coverage. While side by side tests with both atrix and captivate so no noticeable effects. I have owned a captivate an atrix both have had no issues as the new phone. I do realize that the phone will still be tweaked or needs tweaking. I do live in a rural area in the thumb of Michigan. My commuting into Oakland county also shows large signal discrepancies. One of the biggest problems I think as well is the phone will spend more time looking for the 4g signal instead of switching to edge or 3g.
I am curious if others are experiencing these issues

Hmmm must be your area then because i have great reception with my S3...never had a dropped call since I got it. Try factory resetting?

I voted YES for that option. Plus, the capability to do manual gear shift of the "G", with an option to let the CPU take over automatic switching for those who love automatic transmission.![]()

I have the same problem. I switched from an iPhone 4, and my Galaxy often has poor or no reception in places where my iPhone 3 and 4 always worked. It's maddening to have dropped calls and static where you never had it before.

I had signal dropouts inside stores and offices so I returned my S3 within 5 days! I am sticking with my S2 Skyrocket (better reception) until the S3 has improved reception. Aside from the signal issue, I thought it was a beautiful phone with lots of great features; but I still like to make phone calls so I can't use a phone that has no bars (in the signal area at the top of the screen) and just the circle with the diagonal line through it!
