Samsung Galaxy S3 - Shipping Status

Received my order confirmation at 11:27 last night. Called the automated system this morning and was told it was back ordered. I called and cancelled the order. When I spoke to the CSR, I was told they do not have the access to tell if a phone is "in stock" only to see that a phone is available. When I asked isn't that the same thing, I heard crickets. Oh well. I guess I will wait until it is finally released in stores and go that route. Ordering online and being told it will arrive in 2 to 3 business days is a ploy of CSRs to get you to order. I only ask that you be truthful with me. If you don't know, say you don't know, do not say whatever you think I want to hear. I would appreciate that more than the experience I just received.

I ordered mine yesterday June 26 over the phone with ATT Rep. Got email this morning it will be here fedex by 3 today which is great cuz i leave to go to Florida today AT 7 p.m. so i can activate it before i go

AT&T cancelled my order.  Called to find out why and they said it was shipped to an invalid address.  Had them read back the address and there was nothing invalid about it.  CSR would not order a new one - but she did invite me to order again online.

ATT just can't seem to get out of their own way. I called and cancelled my order this morning. Received a confirmation that the order was cancelled at 7:00am. Just received an email at 4:35 that my order has shipped and is scheduled to arrive tomorrow from FedEx. Provided shipment confirmation and all. Smh. I checked my account and no money has been deducted. Maybe this is a little token from AT&T saying sorry for the inconvenience. I also heard the two closest stores to me will start selling tomorrow when doors open.

Seeing how Att is handling this order would not be surprised if the box is empty when/if it ever shows up.

yeah they had an invalid address for me to. The same one that 10 phones has been sent to over 7years. Can't order one now for some reason missed supervisor call.

Got supervisor call right after posting. $100 off and $100 account credit. Will arrive Friday. Not happy waiting but happy I got a $549 phone for essentially $349.

I just ordered today around 4:30 PM est. at ATT store, the rep told me it showed shipping within 24 hrs. It first showed, backordered, then around 9PM est showed shipped, though no tracking number...

My receipt showed "Economy Freight" did anyone else order in store and receive this? I keep hearing people only with next day delivery after shipping.

I preordered my Galaxy S3 through compusa, since they have a warranty program that covers cracks in the screen and water damage. I usually purchase through BestBuy but since they canceled their warrant program I had to find somewhere else. I preordered my device on the 24th and was wondering if anyone knows when it will be in for me to pick up. Thanks for your help!

Just got an email around 2:30am that it has shipped. Ur through USPS? Didn't know AT&T shipped through the post office for such an expensive device. Has anyone had theirs shipped through USPS? Im worried they require a signature and I'm at work....

Are you a Premier customer?  When I ordered my iPhone 4 two years ago, it was delivered through the USPS because of my Premier status (USPS FAN).  That phone was shipped to my job.  For the SGSIII, I had it shipped to the store and it came via FedEx.

I would just like to know why there is no record of my preorder when i click on "my orders" I preordered this past friday and nothing yet. My card had been charged but this morning the money was back in my account. Any suggestions?

I am a premier customer, but this is being shipped to my home. I guess it isn't being shipped next day...

Hopefully I can get it Saturday.

When i call they can see it as pending in there system. But i cant check the status on my own.

The charge dropping off of your card is normal if the phone doesn't ship immediately.  What isn't normal is your inability to see your order. 

Are you saying that you received the email with a link to your order status, and nothing comes up or are you saying that you didn't receive the email at all?

I've had a heck of a time so far.  I went in to my local AT&T store in Syracuse, NY and the manager there told me specifically "not to pre-order, we will have them in the store on the 28th and you can just walk in and pick one up.  This isn't like an iphone launch or anything".  So I went on his word and didn't order.  Come to find out these have been shipping to people and they have been getting them since like the 21st.  

So I called him today to see if they had them in stock and he said no, that they dont have any instock and probably wont until next week.  He still told me that getting it in store will be quicker than buying it online.  So I said forget it and ordered it online.  Since they gave me such a hassle I called the premier customer support to see if I could get it overnighted like many other people have had the option to choose.  The rep put me on hold and then hung up on me after about 3-4 minutes of hold music.

I am so frustrated right now.  I would like to get this phone soon so that I have a functioning device again.

That's interesting.  Most people get an email confirming their order.  I placed my order in-store late on Monday and had the order confirmation email by the time I got back to my computer.  I received an email stating that my order had shipped and one from the store when the phone arrived.  I received the phone two days after ordering.

I also got the emails regarding my plan change after I received/activated my phone.

After my experience with the iPhone 4, I am never gonna go to the store to get a phone within the first weeks of release, sometimes I think they ship out first before they start giving out in stores because of pre orders

Ordering online is the best, but then you get problems like this from AT&T...I just kept calling for an update and eventually got an answer and received my phone

All I am going to type is that if you don't yet have your new S3, fight for it.  It is the coolest thing.  I ordered mine tomorrow 6/18/12, received it and have been having a great time.  Last night, passed a bus stop (NYC) with a sign on it which instructed me to turn on NFC and tap my phone to the location on the advertisment.........and the  it downloaded the lastest Ceelo song.  I HAVE SAT DOWN WITH TWO OTHER FRIENDS.  ONE WITH THE iPONE 4S AND THE OTHER WITH THE HTC X AND BY FAR THE SAMSUNG S3 IS DA' BOMB.  I hope this isn't perceived as rubbing my having the phone in, rather just fight to get this phone!

Box arrived on Frday. Money was removed on Saturday. @johncode. check your accout. Att may wise up like it did for me and finally clean up thier sloppy work.

I had mine billed to my account and it closes tomorrow. That's when I can assess the damage. My s3 didn't ship with a SIM so I went to the store to activate. The manager took my "extra" and showed me my customer screen. From what the screen said the phone was discounted to $449 and then showed -$100 making it $349. Separately my pre statement showed a balance of -$100. He said the phone should be $200 off plus an additional credit of $100 and if it didn't end up like that he will make it so. It did turn out the "extra" s3 was from my original 6/8 order that was cancelled.
