Samsung Galaxy S3 - Shipping Status

I do understand the delays during intial launch, but what bothers me the most is lack of communication. They should have the minimal courtesy to keep the customers posted about the possible delay at least a week before the expected delivery date. AT&T sucks big time

Yes, I have an identical experience no matter what device or browser i use to view the status. I am forced to go to att.com, login and then order status otherwise i get blank screen

First things first, I don't know that anyone should assume that the information given out by a CSR right now should be taken as gospel.  There have been reports of comments like that from CSRs giving out information that some phones have already shipped on Monday, that they will ship for delivery by the 21st, that they'll ship the 21st, that they'll ship the 28th, that stores will have them on the 24th, that all preorders prior to 3pm CST on the 18th will ship for delivery by the 21st and any number of other dates/changes.  I really doubt that any CSR really knows the real story right now.  Now of course the official statement could change at any time but if that happens I think we'll start seeing a LOT more people getting exactly the same response across the board with a new date or whatever.  I'd be willing to bet any amount of money that if I called in right now 10 times I'd get at least 3 different comments/dates if not 10. 

Second, not to let AT&T off the hook, but having been on the selling side of goods with overseas manufacturing and incoming initial shipments the problem could easily not be AT&T's fault.  Samsung could have told them they'd have phones in hand on the 18th and they made shipping date statements based on that.  Until Samsung comes out and tells AT&T they're not going to make their date AT&T can't change their official statement.  Maybe AT&T has the phones and is packing them up for shipment right now, maybe they did miss their date and they won't ship until the 28th.  But I'm certainly not going to believe either until it's more than just one CSR on the phone saying it.

Obviously, there are contradicting statements coming from ATT representatives.  Some stating the 21st date will be achieved, others stating it will ship on the 21st and yet some are now saying they galaxy S3 lauch date has been pushed back to the 28th.

Not sure what to believe at this point.  Currently, my order status still indicates "processing" (same state since June 7th).  I am not finding any news on the internet about AT&T's launch date being pushed back at this time.  Thinking of just settling with the HTC One X.. Just can't live with the lack of micro-sd..

If you were going to get your Galaxy S3 by the 21st, you would have already received your shipment tracking email by now. So let's all be realistic about this and not expect it until after the 21st.

Not entirely true.  It could ship today 2 day and we could get our shipping notices later tonight.  And in other pre-order shipments people have reported getting their phones before ever getting any shipping notice.  So do I think you're right?  Unfortunately I do.  But....  KEEP HOPE ALIVE!!!!!

Almost every carrier has reported some sort of delay. I have a contact at an AT&T store and they have no information about when the SGS3 is going to be released. BUT they were told not to take any vacation this November because of the iPhone 5 being released

They guy I talked to this morning at AT&T said that they have the s3 in inventory in two warehouses and that they started shipping yesterday.

I have pre ordered the galaxy note, nokia 900, and htc one x from at&t.  All were delivered on the Friday before the Sunday in-store release.  On all of those orders I received the delivery e-mail late the night before arrival.  I don't really think the agents on the phone have more information than we do at home.

The shipping confirmation could be delayed like everything else.. my wife pre-ordered the iphone 4s.  She received her shipping confirmation about an hour before the device arrived...on time...on launch day.

I'm not saying that will happen here.I've gotten a different answer every time i've called...i ready to know something so i can stop melting my brain over when the thing is going to arrive.  I sold my Note shortly after i pre-ordered on the 12th...i've been filling the gap with a cracked screen iphone 3g...someone save from this antiquated equipment!

I called the automated order line this morning. The nice robot told me my order was "back ordered" and would be shipped at a later date. I called Customer Srevice, and the CSR told me that pre-orders for contract upgrade took priority over those of us that were buying them at a no-contract price. He informed me that once the contract orders were filled, the no-contract full price orders would be shipped, and he couldn't give me a firm date as to when that would be. I guess I need to have my butt kicked for having the audacity to order a phone from these clowns for the full price. Verizon is looking better all the time....

I just spoke to ATT CS.... this is what she said.

Q: why am i not able to see my order status online.

A: there is some issue with order status page, nothin to worry your order is proccessed.

Q: when will get this mobile.

A: you ordered on 7th , so you shd be getting it on or before 21st.

Q: if you say on or before 21st, its already 19th and i dont have any shipping info.

A: shipping info may be emailed to you a day before or even an hour before the device arrives to your shipping address. So you dont have to worry about shipping info.

Q: but i hear rumours about , S3 arriving on 28th.

A: No your device will arrive on 21st. But for those who have ordered after 18th 3 pm, they will get it BY 28th.

Hmmm..... so still there is hope that it will reach me by 21st.

honestly i seriously think att should get it straight i mean there ar millions of ppl who ordered this phone and they dont even know when its coming out. i dont even see the gs3 commercials or ads any where but on some retail store. like whats up seriously

Just got chatting with a CSR, nothing that wasnt already said, but they added this:

ATT: Thank you.  Please hold a moment while I look up your order.

ATT: We have sold out of the device and are waiting for additional inventory.  Unfortunately, we do not have an anticipated

delivery date as inventory levels vary from day-to-day.  You will receive an e-mail from us when your item has shipped.

Me: wasn't preorders placed before the 18th guaranteed delivery on or before the 21st?

ATT: The pre-orders are handled on a first come first serve basis. The items should ship on or around the 21st.

Me: but for my order, your saying it wont be fulfilled by the 21st?

ATT: Unfortunately, we do not have an anticipated delivery date as inventory levels do vary. You will receive an e-mail from us when your item has shipped.

hey man I have never been so crazy about any other electronic device in my life...it has become altogether a matter of pride now to get it before everyone does.....(which I have been bragging about) we tried to be in some extraordinary league where we preordered the best {word filter evasion} android phone ever...(that saying apple can't even lick sammy's feet now).....no matter how hard we tried to be the first guys by waking up whole night/setting up alarms and everything else but this at&t order status or csr dont give a  about that...and dont even care to inform us...even after knowing that even if they tell us anything official then we can just sit and wait or just be anticipating to have the best cellphone ever

Hey could someone plz let me know if you get yours? I ordered mine on the 6th around 12 pm so if it is first come first served I should get mine by the 21st according to what everyone is saying. My origonal email said they would ship out on the 18th. Also ppl on here have said they were told they started shipping on the 18th and I was told they have not started shipping out at all twice .  I've talked to 4 CSR and gotten different answers from all of them. My order online is showing it has not shipped though. It's still showing backordered. I wish they could give a straight answer. I'm sure a lot more customers would be happy.

Hey Galaxy 23, them not taking vacation is nothing special about November. Nov and Dec have always been "black out" dates for store reps. This has nothing to do with any type of release from Apple.

I ordered mine about the time the orders opened (12:30am - midnight, 6/6), and my order still says its back-ordered. 

I don't doubt that maybe a lot of people ordered in between the time the orders opened and mine was placed, but I was hoping to be one of the "first come, first serve" folks. Guess not. The Premier order status site has also been "down" the last week or so.

I preordered the 11th and it went from processing to back ordered. I think the whole preorder was a freaking scam. Why preorder if your not gonna even get it sooner than the store... AT&T new this would happen.
