What do you mean exactly? Are you asking how to use the Wi-fi hotspot?

ilikewireless, ipendery has a Samsung Galaxy SII.
ipendery, I don't think that you can set this type of preference, but there are two things that you can do that will accomplish the same goal. One is to leave Wi-fi set to "On" on your phone. Once you get in range of networks that you have previously used and set the password for (not the temporary passwords), your phone will connect to the Wi-fi network automatically.
The second thing is to go into Settings>Wireless and network>Wi-fi Settings>Network Notification and set the phone to notify you if Wi-fi networks are available. When you come into range of available Wi-fi signals that you haven't used before, the phone will notify you. You would have to enter any necessary passwords or accept the terms of use for the new signal.
I hope that this answers your question. Let us know if it didn't.

I need to be able to set up the Samsung Galaxy II to preferr the WiFi over the 4G. Tryting to minimize the amoutn of data I have to purchase. I am almost always located where there is WiFi available.
Is there a way to make it only use 4G when WiFi is no present?
