I bought this phone as a replacement for my Sony Xperia X10 that gave up the ghost before my contract was due. I really like the little phone, but the bloatware has rendered it impossible to add any apps. I keep getting "no enough space" messages. Then I get repeated message about updating the bloatware, which are rejected due to the lack of space. This is a ridiculous way of doing business. I'm hoping ATT sees the light on this and presents an update to get rid of some of this. Otherwise I'm switching when my contract is done.

From what I'm reading, the Fusion only has 256MB of RAM, so you're going to need to add a memory card if you want to add any apps. The apps that AT&T adds don't take up much space, so even without it you'd be out of space before long. The X10 has 1GB built in and comes with an 8GB card, so you're looking at a huge difference.

I appreciate the reply. I have added a 32gb card to the phone, so I have plenty of space. With the proprietary firmware, there is no way to move apps to the card. I have since unlocked the phone, and applied a Cyanogen mod to the phone which has made it very useful, and much better than the xperia x10 was.
I've been getting all sorts of solicitations to get the new Sony (ION I think?), but I really see no reason to even try. The lack of substantive support on the X10 (one update in a year), and the collosal bloatware on the U8652 all have me ready to never get into a contract again.
