Is BB really going to have it available in store tomorrow? The rep I talked to was under the impression that they wouldn't even have the phones until Monday. If that's the case, why in the world did I preorder it? And, I was told if I cancelled it and reordered it I couldn't get the gift card. So either way it sounds like im screwed.

That's the problem with talking to various cs people. I mean maybe the person i talked to was wrong and you wont get it. But to me that doesn't make sense. The gift card doesn't kick in until you purchase. You preordered so credit card isn't charged until it ships. M

So gift card should still work. IMO.

The phone will be available today (2/19) in the store.  I went over to my local Best Buy yesterday to check out the phone in person. They had 4 of 'em on display (2 white, 2 dark blue).  The place was packed, but not one single person was checking out any of 4 display units, which was very surprising to me.  I'm I the only person in the St. Louis area that's interested in this phone?

I asked the mobile rep if I'd be able to pick one up today (2/19), and she said yes.   I again asked if anyone had already reserved their phone for in-store pick-up today, and she said no, not one single person has reserved a phone for pick-up today (again, very surprising to me).  Anyhow, she said I'll have absolutely no problem getting my phone today.

Well if you go on the website right now it say coming soon for white and for blue to call to order.

Then it says not available for store pickup and will ship in 15-21 days.

There's demand out there for the Note.

I have it and its quite awesome.

There's definitely demand for this phone.

I called Best Buy customer service and they said most stores will only have 4 in stock for the Note (2 white and 2 Blue) today so I think they may just sell out on their small inventory across best buy.

I'd have to agree with you on that. Depending in the store and region I'm guessing various bb's will have different amounts.

I know a buddy of mine said that his best buy had 3 and 3

Just got back from my local Best Buy.  I was the first (and only) one there at exactly 11:00 AM.  Looks like they had about 5 of each color.  The rep pulled a black one for me, and then I mentioned that I pre-order online last Saturday (2/11) before the upgrade charge went from $18 to $36.  He said that since I would be cancelling the online order and buying on a new order today, I would be charged the full $36, plus I would no longer qualify for the free case, since technically, my purchase today would not be considered a pre-order.  So, I just decided to wait until my online order arrives.  He seemed to think my online order will arrive by this Thursday (2/23).  We'll see...

Hyponid. Do you pick standard free shipping? Or express for $4 more?

Standard is 5-7 days and express is 2-3 days.

When I ordered, I was not given an option for express shipping.  It just showed free shipping, without the option to upgrade to express.  If I were given the option, I would've definitely upgraded to the express shipping for only $4.

yeah, what it is there was a link that says calculate shipping times or something, small window pops up and then you can make the change, not obvios cause i did the same.

Yep, you're absolutely correct.  I missed it.  I just went through the process again online, and sure enough, the express option was there... I just missed it the first time around...  But no worries, I called Best Buy and they were actually able to change my online order into an in-store pick-up order.  I'm going to pick it up in a few minutes :-)

After reading these posts, I called BB and changed mine to in store pickup as well, just waiting on my confirmation email so I can pick it up. Never ever preordering a phone again...my status still said backordered and I ordered it on the 5th. Now I'll most likely be able to pick it up today or tomorrow.

My problem would have been that i picked USPS for shipping inadvertently. So if yours shipped yesterday? Then mine would have showed either Sat or next Monday and I was leaving for a trip on the 26th and wanted it way before then.

Oh, I see. Yeah, I just got mine a few minutes ago.

I didn't know there was an option to pick USPS as a shipping option. I'm still disappointed that the pre-order really was pointless, I thought it would be like AT&T's where you get it a couple of days early.

Yeah that's what I did. I cancelled my preorder thru BB and put a preorder in with ATT. got my Note on Friday!
