smartphones??

I am interested in buying the Samsung captivate glide but I am wondering if I can get this smartphone without the internet?? If not do you have any suggestions for phones with these qualities, full keyboard(side slide out), touchscreen, and 8MP camera?

Samsung Doubletime has a hinged qwerty keyboard but 3.2 MP camera with no flash. Do you like GoPhones?

I think that the 8MP camera is the thing that will make your search difficult now.  Maybe in two years, when other smartphones have 20MP cameras, you would be able to find a feature phone with an 8MP camera.

Your other option is to get the phone that you want and use a prepaid carrier, but I don't want to push you away from AT&T.

You will be way better off with a $99/16MP camera and a prepaid smartphone if you don't mind filling your other pocket with a camera.

U should get a Blackberry Bold or HTC Status....there is no phone that doesn't have internet, but if you are talking about a data plan, unless you buy it with no commitment or on eBay, you will most likely have to to purchase a Smartphone Data Package with your smart phone if you buy it from AT&T

I have a smartphone on 10¢ a minute plan(AT&T prepaid) with no data plan right now. I buy a data plan only when I need to use Google GPS, like last month.

I must add this to be fair. The coverage for prepaid phones is less than the coverage for postpaid phones. If you live in an area where there is sufficiently good coverage for prepaid phones, you are lucky. Please note that even so, prepaid phones have access to a subset of towers - no roaming on other networks in the US. Roaming in Canada and Mexico is provisioned.
