There is a new one I just received today:
Definitely a phishing scam.
Subject: Alert!!!!
From: billbrooks125@hotmail.com
Dear att.net User,
We would like to inform you that we are currently carrying out scheduled
maintenance and upgrade of our att.net service and as a result of
this, our att.net client has been changed and your original password will
reset. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.
To maintain your att.net account, you must reply to this email immediately
and enter your current password here (********)Failure to do this within 48
hours will immediately render your att.net account deactivated from our
database.
Thank you for using the att.net account!
"att.net SUPPORT TEAM".

AT&T will never ask for your password. This is not a legit email, please delete it.
Remember to always mark items that you find useful as "Accepted Solutions”, you can even mark multiple

How about this which came from a guy named Sbcglobal.net <jan.consoli@sbcglobal.net>

i tried to make a reply with a different password to check if its legal and he replied that i should retype my password properly within 48 hours...

I got this email Today Sept. 11th 2010. It reads,

To complete your AT&T - WEB E-MAIL Webmail web mail account, you must reply to this email
immediately this message is from AT&T - WEB E-MAIL Webmail customer service support team, messaging center to all AT&T - WEB E-MAIL Webmail email account owners.
We are currently upgrading our data base and e-mail account center We are deleting all
unused AT&T - WEB E-MAIL Webmail email accounts to create more space for new accounts. to prevent your account from being closed, you will have to update it below so that we will know that it's a present used account.
confirm your identity below.

• Password :.................................
• Date of Birth :............................
• Country :..................................

I would like to find where to Submit this info to AT&T... Anyone know?
