All of a sudden out of nowhere when I unlock my 3GS phone there is a message waiting for me stating "Password Incorrect", "Enter Your Voicemail Password". After the box to enter the password the two options are: "Cancel" and "Okay". I don't know why it is doing this, I have never entered a password or seen this screen since I bought the phone 8 months ago. Help please.
Bob

General Visual Voicemail FAQs
- How do I know how many messages I have?
The Voicemail icon in the Phone app has a red numeric value reflecting the number of VVM messages available to the customer. This number shows the amount of new voicemail messages waiting to be heard and not the number of saved voicemail messages that have already been downloaded and heard. - Is there a limit to the number of messages stored on the device?
Yes, the limit is 40 messages at 4 minutes per message. - How long will messages remain in mailbox?
Currently, there is not an icon for saving messages. Messages not saved are deleted 30 days after being received.

I had this on my iPhone 4 when I just got it. I entered my password that had set for voicemail when I'd set it up in my 3gs and it accepting and stopped doing it.
If you recently installed iOS 4, maybe that's why it started doing this??? (just a guess
)

I recently did install OS4 however a "hard" reboot seems to have solved the problem.
Thanks... Bob
