Confirmation email not sent:

I ordered my iPhone 4 yesterday (7/23), at the AT&T corp. store. It's been almost 24 hours, and I have not even received a confirmation email from AT&T with my order number......... The first one that I ordered on June 15'th came within 12 hours.

When should I expect to receive an email with my order from AT&T?

Why??? Even if I didnt know better, if I spent 1 minute looking at the posts in this forum I would see to order the iPhone from Apple instead.

Any particular reason you did it with ATT?

I've had zero problems with my first iPhone order from AT&T, so the question is, why wouldn't I order from AT&T again?

Sorry, had to ask. Only reason I question it is there are such delays with the ATT ordering process.

Anyway, I'll try to be at least a little useful to you: I've read several reports on this forum that it took days to get he confirmation email. Sorry for straying off topic.

No worries, it's cool...... Actually, on two other forums that I post on, they are all saying that orders that were placed through AT&T are arriving quicker than those that were done through Apple, which is another reason why I went to AT&T again........... I really hope it doesn't take days just to receive a confirmation email.

Thanks, what day did you place your order? And was it done through AT&T or Apple?

I ordered at the ATT corporate store back on 7/10 and I NEVER received any confirmation emails for my orders.

Mine is already shipped (via stupid UPS 2nd day air...) and on the way, so don't worry about not getting the email.

I ordered at 10:00 pm (MDT) through AT&T's website on 7/13. I am still on BO, but the order confirmation email came very quickly.

I have to worry, as my order is being shipped to the store, not my house. So without an order number, how else can I keep track of the shipping....... The AT&T sales rep. said I would have to track it via the emailed shipping info, as they would not call me when my order came into the store.

My order is going straight to the store too.

While the rep told me I'll get an email when the phone gets delivered to the store and he would call me as well, I used the order ID on the receipt to check the order status and had no problem.

On my receipt, there's an order ID, right underneath the credit card charge info (amount, auth no. etc). On https://www.wireless.att.com/order_status/order_status put search method as order number and use the store's zip code (it's also written on the reciept).

If it still doesn't show up on order status I would call ATT though...

Did you check your email's Spam or Junk Mail folder? It may have been dumped there unintentionally.

I ordered my iphone 32gb on 7/22 and I never get sent any email confirmation, but I could check my order status and my iphone got shipped and I am going to recieve it on 7/26.

the 1st 16gb i4 i ordered took 4 days to receive my order confirmation.

the 2nd 16gb i4 order took 24 hours to receive the confirmation.

i was told 24 to 48 hours both times.

just thought i'd share my experience as i continue to wait...

Yes, I have been checking my spam folder as well, but things from AT&T usually don't show up there.

Thank you so much. Yes, this post was a very big help, as I was able to log in using that link, and check my order status. Right now it is showing up as "In progress", and Back-Ordered"......So now, I'm going to grab a few wine coolers, sit in a comfy chair, and enjoy the wait like everyone else.

Just so you know I ordered the same day (7/23) and did not receive and still to this day received a confirmation email...they charged me the funds for my order through my bank but now the charge isn't there...still on BO as many are but I don't know if not receiving a confirmation email means that I won't get my phone. I hope thats not the case!!!!

I placed my order over the phone from AT&T on the morning of the 16th and was told to expect a confirmation email within 24 to 48 hours that I had to respond to before they would place my order. The email didn't come until the evening of the 19th. I just came off backorder last night. And I'm having the phone shipped to my home.
