Does anyone know if Sprint EVO would work on AT&T eventhough it's CDMA phone?

No way. It's not technology that at&t owns.

Just curious, why would almost all the new Verizon PDA phones have SIM Card slots?

They are all "world phones," but most of them are locked to the provided vodaphone sim. You'll have to shell out ~$15-40 for an unlock code to use it on AT&T.

Because it's the only way to use them outside the US. Not many countries use the odd ball technology that Verizon and Sprint use.
