Has anyone receive their iphone 3G through DIrect Fulfillment

I have seen one person who ordered their yesterday and received theirs today, white 16. I was told it makes a difference which color you get a lot of people want the black one.

To check order go to
https://www.wireless.att.com/order_status/order_status
and in the drop down menu choose ( order confirmation number)
Enter the the last 6 digits on your reciept ( some people say last 5)
and then zip code of the store u ordered it from ( also found on the reciept)
click submit ( and be dissapointed that nothing has changed)

That's nice, because they didn't tell me that I couldn't cancel.  It doesn't even say it on the reciept.  I guess I wil just call my bank and stop payment through them.

To top it off, I did mine on Friday and my info still isn't on the page!

I entered (in the order status) my receipt order ID (tried last 5 digits and then last 6) and the store's zip code (same as my home) and it said the info was not recognized in their systems. Is anyone else having this problem?

That's funny because over at the Apple forums they were whining about the presumed scarcity of the white ones over in the UK before the release.  Now, it seems that not so many people want the white ones, to the horror of Apple geeks everywhere

Try the number under the barcode near the bottom of your receipt and the zip code of the store.

This worked for me. The number under the barcode matches the order number in the e-mail confirmation I received.

I ordered the afternoon of 7/11.

My order shows

FRT - ordered 1 - backordered 1 In processing

Phone - ordered 1 In processing

I ordered the 16 GB white since at that time, the white was the only one that wasn't backordered.

I ordered a 16 GB White and Black Friday morning.  They were separate orders.  The online status states they are in progress.  When I called Order Status phone number, 877-782-8870, and it tells me both orders are back ordered.  Since it is Sunday, I am unable to speak to anyone regarding the order (Order Status customer service is closed on Sunday, option 0 after hearing the order status).  I have no idea which is right.  I will have to wait until Monday at this point for more information.

On the page for status it says Order Number: 14 for me. Does anyone know what this is out of, since its so low. I'm assuming its the number your order is for that particular store?

I just called the number you posted and I get the same message that you did.  Backordered.  When I placed my order, I placed it specifically because it was NOT backordered; otherwise, I would have ordered a black one.  We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Did you guys get any email from icare@cingular.com. The online status just shows backordered but the email stated: 5-7 days of estimated delivery. What is it for other people?

I ordered mine Saturday morning (yesterday) and it says that the phone has already shipped via DSL and there is a tracking number... I'm quite stunned it may actually make it to the store in 2-3 days.

*Nevermind, this was a phone I ordered last month :lol:

Thank you for shopping with AT&T. Your iPhone has been ordered. An email will be sent when your iPhone order is shipped.

After paying $ 30 for the Priority Shipping, I am slightly speechless at the moment.

I just received my second e-mail confirmation. The first one came this morning.

This one says the phone has been ordered and that I will receive another one when it ships.

Seems like progress!

Hey guys, I just picked up my Direct Fulfillment and activated my iPhone. It took me no longer than 10 mins as they needed to port my phone number over, I did Direct Fulfillment on Friday and did Priority Shipping and they said it just came in at noon CST. I'm happy now.

Is it worth it for priority shipping? I am thinking of doing this tomorrow. How much is the shipping cost? I can't remember. I already have an 8gb iPhone 3g but my mom wants it and I want a 16gb version, this was to just tide me over. Or is it better to just wait until they have it in stock?

i dont get how some people are already getting their direct fulfillments while others are still listed as backordered... at my at&t store they didn't even offer any type of priority shipping, i asked.

Sorry, I put my phone number and zip code in, but the order status was for a phone I ordered last month, a Blackjack. I'm not able to find my iPhone direct fullfillment status on that page. I've tried typing in everything and nothing is working.

The zip code must be the one from the store of which you purchased it.

I did. Either my info isn't in the system yet (I purchased yesterday morning when the store opened) or I can't figure out which order number to put. I've heard last 5 digits, last 4 digits, last 6 digits, the barcode number... I've tried them all.

To look up mine from the website, I used the phone number I gave them when ordering and my zip code.  Trying to decipher the order number from the receipt is impossible.  On my receipt, it had PB640XXXXX for the order number. My order number was only 5 digits.
