Has anyone receive their iphone 3G through DIrect Fulfillment

This is actually a psychological test to determine the stress reaction of people who order a new toy, but can't get it immediately.  They have teamed up with Microsoft, Apple, Ubuntu and others to clandestinely install a monitoring program that measures your key stroke rate and intensity and through the miracle of modern bio-feedback can determine many things about your stress reactions.  They can even tell the last time you went to the bathroom, what you had for lunch and the television program you last watched. 

All results will be used to fine tine the launch of their next toy where they will step everything up a notch!

Actually, on a more serious note and while I am waiting for my black 8gb (7/18) to ship, I was wondering something.  I bought a first generation iphone and for various reasons (primarily lack of applications) I returned it and bought my Tilt.  One of the things that was a bit of an annoyance on the 1st gen was the inability to download or create my own ringtones, which I can do under the WM 6 platform.  Is that still a restriction on the Iphone 3g?  I always suspected that Apple was so into DRM that they didn't want people creating their own tones, so they restricted it.

My store still has absolutely nothing reported for 07/28.  If other do then perhaps only some stores are experiencing computer problems (theorized before) that keeps them from updating the server.  Logistics are complicated since you'd think the server would update remotely from the warehouse and wouldn't need the actual store and since some are reporting updated queues then my theory doesn't hold water.  But I find it hard to believe that nothing shipped OR was ordered from my store in the last 24 hours. . .

How long ago did you buy it? You can create your own ringtones... well, on OS X, at least, if you want it to be free.

there's a how to further down that explains how you can create a 40 second ring tone from a song.  Only, it  doesn't work on tunes bought from the store.

I've seen the new iTunes has a ringtone editor that you can make your own ringtones out of the itunes collection (for a mere 99 cents, the price du jour).  I haven't tried it (don't have an iphone yet) but I would imagine it's there for the iphone otherwise what's the point....

From what I've seen, the back order simply means if the warehouse has any in stock (not necessarily enough to meet your order). So when the warehouse logs in their daily shipment, your order goes to 0 back ordered, when they ship out all they had, your order goes back to 1 back ordered. So at least it lets you know they are getting daily shipments.

Today might be my lucky day!  In the last two hours has gone from back-ordered frt, sim & phone, to back-ordered frt & sim to now just back-ordered frt.

While I think Apple's handling of the intro of this phone has been terrible, I do have to give them credit.  I have gone from really debating whether to even get an iPhone (I currenty have a Blackberry Pearl) and wait for the new Blackberry to being one of you people that can't keep from looking at the status every 10 minutes.

IT will be delivered to the store *after* FRT and PHONE go to 0 for backorder and you have a tracking number.

The mods posted a message about it can be up to 13 days but it just depends on the model I guess.Everyone so far has been waiting 7-10 days.Its some mostly the ones that have ordered the white 16gb have been getting their's like in a day.So who knows.I hope you get it in a timely manner.

No problemo... They also have this spray on there that fills in scratches on iPods and all that, whether it's the front or metal portion that's damaged. Pretty limited shopping, but they've got good products on their.
