Has anyone receive their iphone 3G through DIrect Fulfillment

I didn't wait for the call.  When I walked in the store, the first available agent asked me how she could help and I told her that my fedex tracking number said they had a phone with my name on it.  She asked my name and reached behind her to grab the box with my name on it, which hadn't even been opened yet.  They told me they don't even check it into inventory when they are DF because it actually already belongs to you.

See, that's what I'm afraid of!

Going to get my phone and finding out that my sales rep who sold me the phone was not there, so they can't give it to me. I'll be so bummed if that happens. I actually called yesterday when my phone said "shipped" to confirm that even though the sales rep wasn't there (who ordered my phone), I could still pick it up. He said yes... But we all know these people aren't too reliable.

Although I'm pretty sure they have figured out some way to get people who lose their receipts their phones.  I'm sure they'll give you a hard time about it then give you your phone....

No friggin way, you can't be serious.. if I have my government-issued ID and the debit card with which I paid for the phone, and it matches up with their copy of the receipt, they won't give it to me??

over here in Cleveland, the phones are coming in FAST, I just went and pick up my friend's 8GB iPhone 3G whom he ordered like 7 days ago. It was at the store. According to the sales rep. there, the phones are coming in fast (within a week). - This is the Strongsville, OH store.

I will go in later today and check on my phone. I want to go with a my gf, its kind of a tradition of ours to be there with each other during the acquisition of big ticket items.

Well, I guess this is going to be my last post for a while...  I picked up the iphone at lunch and have been playing with it all afternoon.

For those keeping track

16 gig black

ordered: 7/24

shipped:8/04

delivered and picked up at store: 08/05

my pickup and activation went on without a hitch, took less than 10 minutes.

hang in there kids, looks like they are averaging about two weeks.  Well worth the wait, these things are soooo cool!

When do they normally update the order status page for the day? For example, when will the orders shipped 8/5 show up...is it the day of or the day after? Right now it is only showing orders shipped on 8/4 for my area.

Woo Hooo.. Just checked my status and realized mine had shipped this afternoon.. Never received my original nor shipping confirmation emails but not complaining anymore.. LOL Ordered on 8/2 at 9am and delivery scheduled for 3pm on 8/6 here in VA... Cant wait
