So is the order status accurate? I agree with the back order status going from 0 to 1 and back... it drives me nuts.

I ordered mine on Aug 8th, based on everyone else's experience, when should I see my iphone? Also, I will be on vaca from 18 through the 25. Will ATT ship this back if I am not here to pick it up?

Here's a quote from my "shipment email" Looks like you will have 7 days to pick it up. Hopefully the timing will work out for you.

"""You will be notified via email when it arrives. You will then have seven (7) days to pick up your order or it will be canceled."""

I ordered the the black 8gb. If it really gets here tomorrow, it will have arrived in in one week exactly. I ordered on a Thursday and get it on the following Thursday. I just checked the tracking and it is in the closest hub, 80 miles away. I am getting really excited now.

Yup... well you all are going to hate me...

I ordered my 16 gb white one on Monday (8/11) and it shipped yesterday (8/12)

As of right now it is in Memphis TN and coming to Lexington KY.... estimated to arrive tomorrow at 4:30.....

if my calculation or guess are correct....u should get ur iphone on monday, the 18th....(hopefully i can get it by 17, since i ordered the same day as u, since 18 is a new bill cycle for me)

when i looked at people who ordered 8-7-08, their iphone is currently shipping.

Picked up: It's now 8:48pm here in NY and still no call from the ATT store sales rep ( store closes at 9:30pm). Who knows, after waiting all this time and tracking the package from the time it left the warehouse to the time it was delivered to the store and now they tell me I cant get it until they receive it, well why did you take my money almost a week ago, I bet you could not wait to take my money, huh ATT. I better have my iphone 3G by tomorrow, or I'm taking my money back and you can keep your phone. Worst distribution system in the history of mankind. Apple and ATT should be proud.

yea, i got the 8gb....i just want to let u know that i'm getting mine on august 15, so exactly 7 days....hopefully that is correct from the fedex page. hope u get on the 15 too!

however, my package is 3lbs while everybody else is 2lbs....kind of odd

print out the fedex page, then show to the sales rep...they will go and look it for u..

I ordered an 8gb Black iphone on 8/6/08 and it is now the 14th, i have checked my status and it says the phone is not backordered and the FRT says backorder 1. What I wonder is, what is an FRT? I really want to get my phone and a friend of mine ordered it the same day and got it a few days ago. Im in california, just outside LA- anybody have similar issue? I have assumed certain models ship out faster, but are they sending a group of the same phones to a store? Again i am assuming the 8gb models are selling well, so would my store get it and me not see it on my order status? AHHH i am so confused.

I finally got my shipment notification, too! I ordered an 8gb phone on 8/5. It shipped yesterday 8/13 and has an estimated delivery of 8/15 by 7 pm.

Will I be able to pick up my phone tomorrow if it arrives earlier or do I have to wait for the store to call me? If not, will I be able to pick it up on Saturday or Sunday? Thanks!
