How do I restore my apps and settings?

After getting great help on my previous question, I was wondering what are the steps to erase my entire iPhone, then restore all my apps again from my iTunes after teh reset.

Yes do a full back up then restore the iPhone as new
iPhone. Then you restore from your back up and it will put everything back on your iPhone. Sync the iPhone the back it up.

Why you want to restore it for?

There's this game that I want to restart, but it saved some kind of code to my phone. I have to reset the entire phone so the code is reset as well.

If I restore the phone as "new iPhone," will it get rid of all the stuff from my old iPhone settings? I noticed that when I plugged my iPhone into my iTunes, it gave me the option to restore it as new iPhone or get the settings back from my old one. If I choose to restore it as the new iPhone, can I still get the apps and such back from my old one?

Still hoping for a response before I do anything drastic with the now erased iPhone. I want to set it up as new, but I don't know if everything on my iTunes will stay because ideally I want all the apps from my iTunes right now into my phone after I set it up as new. Any help would be much appreciated.

If you just need to reset one game, hold the game icon until it jiggles tap the x and it will delete just the game. The. You can download a new copy and start over. If you setup as new you will need to add your apps back via iTunes and you will loose your data. Deleting just the app the downloading again allows you to start over with the one app.

Youngjm is correct. If you are trying to get rid of data for a specific app (game), then just remove or delete that app and re-install. If you were to backup the phone, wipe out all the data (i.e. reset it to factory settings), then restore from that backup, you will just restore the data from the app you are trying to get rid of.
