Sadly, i wasn't able to get an iphone on launch day
but i will try to get one at my local AT&T store on the 29th
I know i'm going to choose the 2GB data plan
but i heard a lot of stories of people going over their data plan and paying way more than they should
so i was wondering if there are some ways to prevent my iphone from going over 2GB
Any tips?
Please & Thank You ![]()

There's an AT&T app where you can check your data usage daily if you wish.

From what I understand, when you get close to your data limit for the month, you should get a text message from AT&T telling you so. It probably says how much you've used and how much you have left for the month you can use.
I'll let others respond to verify, but that's the last I heard.

An app? thats pretty cool
i would probably use it everyday to check how much data i used
but it will probably use some data just to check. lol
A text message. That actually seems really helpfull.
so yeah is there some tips like changing the setting or something?
I know theres that data roaming thing where you can turn it off.
but is there anything else?

Using WiFi doesn't count toward the data, so try to use that as much as you can.
