Now I don't really agree with everything AT&T did. My friend bought 2 iphones in Oct 2009. In Jan in started calling in complaining Edge could not connect to the internet. He did this monthly & he recieved data credits. And finally this week they refunded all his data charges from Oct till now. He got out of his contract on grounds they broke the contract cause he couldn't connect to the internet & if it did it took 3-4 minutes to load a page. I think they should have just let him out of the contract. The return of the data charges is overkill. He said he didn't return it within 30 days cause at first the edge was running a little quicker. He's now on Verizon & happy with their coverage. I'm to big of a Apple {word filter} to leave AT&T. Unless the Iphone was available elsewhere.

Good luck if you do go to Verizon. I spoke with an engineer today who works for AT&T. He told me some very interesting stuff that's going on in the year or two. When you choose Verizon, you're choosing the best it can get as far as their 3G coverage. AT&T knows they have to do better in this area and the good news is they can and will starting this year. I hope you don't like to mutitask because Verizon doesn't allow that. I also hope you don't mind slower speeds with the 3G coverage. Verizon does have better 3G coverage, the AT&T the 3G coverage AT&T does have is much better and faster. I've tested it myself with friends who Verizon. So remember if you leave and swith to Verizon, what you'll get when you sign up is as good as it will ever get. I'll stick with AT&T myself and enjoy my new iPhone next month.

I think Verizon currently has the best smartphone out right now the HTC Incredible. I know the new iphone design will put it back in front along with all the features their adding(4.0 seems heavily influenced by Android). But I'm glad phone makers are finally challenging the iphone cause competition is good for us. We'll get better products.

You need to go to the Verizon Android Forum and read about the experiences with the Incredible and your mind will be changed. Constant rebooting, etc.

I agree, the data charges were overkill. If the phone worked before, then it probably wasn't a coverage issue.

Yeah. He's going to make out like a bandit. Getting refunding data charges for 8 or 9 months. Then he still has the 2 iphones which he's probably going to sell on ebay. He's definitely coming out on top on this one.

Cnet & PC World are saying the Incredible is the best phone out. I'm sure some users are having trouble but just like with any other product launch.

I wouldn't trust anything CNet or PC World says without verifying it for myself.

I've held & used the phone only for 15 minutes. But the 8MP camera & dual flash are nice. The 8GB built in with the ability to expand up to 32GB with a MIcRo SD slot is nice. The thing about HTC within 3-4 months they will have a better phone than this out. And Brian Tong of CNet is the biggest Apple fanboy it is and for him to give the Incredible a victory over the Iphone 3GS in the Cnet prizefight. It's got to be something there. It's not just hype.

As much as I would love to see a real competitor to the iPhone out there, numerous devices have been touted as iPhone killers over the last few years and all of them have fallen way short of the mark.
Still, it would be nice if the Incredible does prove to be worthy of the hype.
