My iPhone 3 won't turn on ?!

My iPhone won't turn on. I had replcaed the screen because the speaker area was completely damaged. When i got it replaced, the phone had completely died. Now everytime I try to turn it on it only shows the red battery thing and ive tried charging it for days. Doing a hard reset. I tried hooking it up to itunes and it only showed that i need to take off the password on device to log in. Problem is i cant turn on the phone so i cant take off the password! i Dontthink my phone recognizes its charging. What do i do? What could be the problem ? Alspo sometimes when i get it passed the battery icon it shows the little apple b ut then it shows the loading symbol for hours sometimes days then shuts off again. I basically haven't hnad the phone on since months ago.. If someone could tellme how to reset my phone through itunes considering i cant connect it because of the passsword on my phone

would take it back to teh apple store that replaced the glass for you, if it is 3rd party take or call them, sounds like it was not put back together correctly
