I think that's a well-known fact, and when setting up your Voicemail on a new phone, you do hear a warning. ![]()

No idea, but I heard the warning. And I came from a dumbphone, so perhaps the saving procedure is different? ![]()

What phones are you all coming from? I think that if you go from Visual VoiceMail to VVM, you are OK. But if you come from regular voicemail to VVM, you lose your voicemails.
I thought that AT&T usually put this information in your "before you activate" instructions. It is known by some or most that you lose your old voicemails when transferring to VVM. People like me don't care, because I don't keep old voicemails. But I have seen other posts like yours (on other carriers' forums) where they had voicemails of deceased relatives and were upset when they were lost.

well do not blame AT&T or APPLE! blame your self, you know you are going to a new phone it tells you to back everything up and save everything. just like a computer always make a back up no matter what. if you knew you had all a lot of Valuable emails should have found a way to save them all... do not blame AT&T OR APPLE.
should have ran a back up.... or something.......
