Having worked with several sherrif's and highway patrol offices in my career, you'd be astounded at how many people report that when they rear ended that vehicle in front of them, or drove off the road, it was because they were looking down at their stereo trying to find the "next song" button on the steering wheel.

According to MacRumors, the next generation iPhone has been spotted in the wild.
Yes a new model ID has connected on an App online but thats it. Not spotted as visibly seen. But it does not contain anything on its specifications. We knew there would be one in development holding to 1 new release per year. Nothing to get excited over yet.

1. doubt it, Apple is not known for letting their end users do that
2. haven't had any issues with the docks I have used from teh tomtom to a low cost no name bought at a dollar tree in a emergerncy situation
3 would settle for a replaceable battery, but given who makes it this is a pipe dream also
4. dought it, suspect that steve jobs is against it
5 doubt it, removes the lock of itunes and apple is a control freak
6 have not had issues with the 32 meg version with movies and songs, but personally choice only

And you would, in all likelihood, be wrong. If a CDMA or hybrid iPhone isn't already in the wild, it won't be released this year.

Got a feeling its a CDMA iPhone. Although, why would Apple promote AT&T on its recent ad campaign?

First off...... If APPLE were to release a CDMA phone, you don't really think they would dump AT&T, do you? With no doubt whatsoever, they will still offer iPhones through AT&T. Any other strategy would be rediculous.
Also, just my opinion....... There will never be a CDMA-only phone. APPLE will either release a GSM/CDMA combi phone, or no CDMA version at all.

This is what's going to happen. They would need 3 factories if they didn't make a combo phone. One for iPhones with sims and two CDMA versions. Due to different chipsets in all 3. It would cause major issues eventually if the parts gets mixed up.

I tend to agree. A non combo phone with CDMA only doesnt make much sense.

Definitely more storage memory. I have the 32G and I have to manage my movies and make sure I clean out old TV shows or I run out of space.
Multitasking. I hate it when I am in a password protected app, recieve a text message or call, and then I have to re-enter my password because the app exited. When you have long passwords it gets annoying especially when you recieve a lot of text messages.
It was a toss up between a removable battery and external storage, but since I picked up the Juice Pack Air external battery case I favor an external storage slot more now. Just like my old WinMo phone, I would like to keep sensitive apps like my banking apps on the external storate card so I can remove it whenever I want. Also more storage is always better as like I said, even the 32G is not enough for me right now.

WOW....you people need to calm down. No need for name calling. I started this threat just to get people talking about the next iPhone. Not for people to fight with each other of what might or might not be in the next iPhone.
With that said, I have to agree with other posters that stated that they didn't get the 3GS. I still have my 3G, never owned the origianl iPhone. I am looking forward to the next iPhone, what ever it is called. Simply moving from the 3G to the 3GS, the changes seem small, but moving from the original iPhone to the 3GS, I bet it seemed like a bigger jump, as with moving from the 3G to the 4G (or what ever they call it).
I would like to see the following
OLED (Zune HD has it, why not iPhone)
HD FM Tuner (Zune HD has it, why not iPhone)
SD Slot why not? For apps like Documents to Go, this would be great to have, or for additional space for music, movies, etc.
Better BT - FILE TRANSFER...it can be done, APPLE is just too controlling.
Fingerprint Reader <- really like this idea from Demetri. Tired of entering 1234 to get into my phone...lol
