Trouble placing calls to a t-mobile android user.

I have an iphone 4s and there is 1 person that i'm always having phone issues with.   They have an HTC phone with t-mobile and google voice.

Since early June the latest problem is that everytime I call it always goes straight to voicemail...no ringing or anything.    Texts and incoming calls from them go through fine.  They checked and my number hasn't been placed on any call forwarding/block or blacklist by mistake.  I have a 2nd cell phone through verizon for work and my calls go through just fine when I need to speak to them right away and/or leave voicemails because sometimes I can't be bothered with texting all the time.

Back in april we had issues as well but the problem wasn't calls it was texts.  Incoming/outgoing calls were fine but they would never receive my text messages.   That lasted until mid may and resolved itself.   all of a sudden now calling is the issue.   I reset my network settings and all that but it hasn't helped.   

So my question is...is it me or them?

Did your friend port that number to T-Mobile?  Porting numbers can cause problems with text messaging, I know.  The phone call problem seems a little weird, though.

The best way to troubleshoot this is to communicate with their "real" number vs. their Google Voice number. 

If you call the actual number for the phone, do you also have trouble texting/calling them?  If you only experience the issue with this person's Google Voice phone number; then there actually is a setting they have that is preventing you from getting through--intentional or not.

This is an issue related to Google Voice. I've had the same problem with my T-Mobile prepaid account while using GV, which is why I no longer use it. While it did save money, there were too many issues with it to makea what little I was saving worth it to me. Try contacting Googe if you need help trouble shooting.
