Do I agree with those rules? no, but that does not matter. Nor do I agree with abortion or Obamacare, but I deal with it.

How can you interpret the statement "iPhone is configured to work only with the wireless services of AT&T" any other way? The use of the word "only" seems pretty clear.
Let's put it another way. Where does it say, or even imply, anywhere that AT&T will ever unlock an iPhone under any conditions? As far as using it as you see fit, go ahead. You can unlock it if you want. Show us where it says that AT&T or Apple has to help you.
