Still, reputations stick. Most in the know knew to order direct from Apple this time around after Att botched the iP4 launch. Next launch most in the know will know to avoid Att all together. They'll get their
haircut soon enough.

i can proove it, i heard stores were selling iphones when i pre ordered 1 so i went down and asked to cancel my order and let me buy one here the manager said no he cant sell me a phone since i pre ordered and hes not allowed to cancel. i told him people have been saying they got there orders cancelled and that they went to there local stores and purchased phones and he just brushed it off. and i look to my left and there a kid walkin out with a brand new iphone 4s..
if that is not wrong idk what this world has come to, Im not mad i didnt get my phone.. the problem is i need a phone, i got mine stolen and im still paying monthly when im not even using the phone.. i pre ordered it so i can make sure i had a phone and not have to go threw this and i ended up going threw it to get it anyway. i never heard of pre ordering to get it last. i thought pre order meant to pay up front to make sure u reserve ur phone? so what the {word filter evasion} is going on ? stop the lies already. be honest. first it was 7-14 days then 14-21 and now its 21-28 days. it seems instead of getting the phone asap the days are going farther and farther away. makes no sense for some one that pre ordered.cim still {word filter evasion} backordered !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am one of them, moving to Sprint. Pre-order iPhone 4S on 7th at AT&T store, was told that I would definately getting it by the 14th because I ordered "early". 14th came, my iPhone still backordered. The thing that made me going was that I went back to AT&T store, the manager told me that they had PLENTY of iPhone 4S in stock but he wouldn't cancel my direct order and sell me the iPhone when I went back. So I went to Sprint, got my iPhone 4S. I am on day 2, so far I can't tell the difference in service, as good as AT&T. I can tell the difference in my pocketbook, $10 less monthly bill and can get 25% Sprint discount through my employer as suppose measle 10% with AT&T.
I am still technically AT&T customer too since I haven't cancelled my AT&T. I am giving Sprint a week to see whether the service is good after that I will port my number

really AT&T said you would have it by the 14th? how? AT&T got the iphone 4S on the 14th to start shipping them. my friend done a preorder he said no where on the preprder or anything it said he would have his iphone 4s on the 14th. IT STATED THEY WILL SHIP ON THE 14TH. the apple stores had them on the 14th to start selling. so how can AT&T told you this you would have on the 14th..... wow

Lost four (4) lines yesterday (even paid the cancellation fee to get away from AT&T)!!!
They help people to use lost/stolen property - by activating an iPhone that someone picked up that didn't belong to them and that was REPORTED TO AT&T AS LOST OR STOLEN!!!!
Go figure! At least with Verizon - if that happens they will confiscate the phone if someone brings it in to their store to have it activated!!!
VERY SATISFIED Verizon customer!!!! Walked in and out with iPhone 4S!!!

wonder where you heard that - verizon personnal have no authority to do so, it would be stupid for a verizon employee to do something like this, there is to much of a chance of someone getting hurt, especially an innocent bytsander.

We have it in writing from Verizon home office! You're just making excuses for AT&T and believe me I've heard them all!!!!!
We got a search warrant served on AT&T and they had to tell who they had activated the phone for - in the end the person lost their job..................hope it was worth it!!!

Yeah yeah, you sounds like another disgruntle, overworked AT&T rep. Too bad, AT&T won't be getting my business back. My iPhone 4S Sprint is still humming. And where is exactly my iPhone 4S that I pre-ordered from AT&T? WOW it's not even in my house.

I make excuses for no one, there is to much of a chance for adverse issues to occurr in the claimed senario, verizon employee's do not have the authority to confiscate anything. There is to much of a chance of a major fallout incase the phone was "confiscated" in error. Know to many land sharks who would be drooling over retainer fees for this type of thing

if you leave a cell company just becuase your new phone did not show up on launch day,then you have problems.
AT&T never said you will have it on launch day.thye said it will ship on that day.

You missed the point Graphite......we left because AT&T assists in theft of stolen property - it just happened when the new iPhone 4 came out and they lost 4 longtime customers in one fell swoop!!!

Wow, you're so "morally concious".
Anywho, no one assited in theft. Why are you even here? You're with Verzon now, so your services are not with Big Bell anymore. Why don't you go on the Verizon Wireless Forum and compliment them because apparently nobody is having any issues there.
