Was my credit pulled??
I really need to know. I am in the process of getting a home loan and having my credit touched will screw things up. I didn't know they did this, now it rings a bell from when I first became a user for iPhone/AT&T.
Thanks

no i do not think they pull your credit report on a upgrade. if you have no billing issues i think you will be ok. you can always call AT&T and ask them if they did do this.

I think they have to tell you and get your permission to pull your credit history - they can't just pull it on a whim. I don't think I've ever seen them pull it unless I've established new service with them.

You know, if you have your credit report sent to you, there's a section for people that you already do business with that lists when they've pulled your credit recently, but it doesn't count against your credit report the way that it would if you were establishing new business with them. I would think that if you pulled a copy of your credit report, that's the only place you'd find them listed, but I can't be sure. Your loan officer would probably have a good answer. Call him/her tomorrow. They are probably VERY familiar with the ins and outs of credit reporting.

They have to tell you they would run your credit. If you're an existing customer, they shouldn't have to check. Checking your credit and running it for a loan are 2 different things. Don't worry about getting your mortgage unless there was another issue somewhere else.
