Will fedex leave iphone 4 if nobody is home?

Ordered my iphone 4 on July 24th (still on backorder ) and it could come this week while im away on vacation. Will fedex leave package? I left a signed note with the order number at the door if that helps.

I wouldn't let that happen if I were you. Packages are stolen outside of people's home everyday and this isn't just any package... it's a highly demanded, 300 dollar phone. I'd arange for someone to be there to recieve it.

If you don't live in a really rural area, I would arrange to pick it up at a fedex store.

Totally agreed. It could be easily picked up by a theif. What's worse, they can sell it and get BIG BUCKS for it...

I, too, would arrange for someone to check up on and hold onto the phone until you get back from your vacation. Say, a family member/friend/trusted neighbor. They just can't peek.

After all, a worry-free vacation is really relaxing...

No signing required so they will leave it but as others have said you run the risk of theft.

Yes. I got mine this past Friday. I was home, but Fedex just dropped it at the door. Didn't knock, didn't ring. I just went to the door to get it when the dog started barking. If my dog hadn't let me know, I might not have known it was dropped off. By the time I got to the door, Mr. Fedex was already driving away.

I actually wondered the same thing when I ordered mine and asked the Fedex guy at my work.

He said if you ordered it through Apple, absolutely not. If you ordered it through ATT, then yes most likely it would be left.

I took the afternoon off that day just in case even though I ordered through ATT. Sure enough a knock on my door and by the time I opnened it up the Fedex truck was backing out of my driveway. So ordered through ATT and it was left at my doorstep.
