I bought an iphone off someone on ebay .I am in the united kingdom the phone came in the mail..i turned it on and it wouldnt work. It happens its been locked to att ..i tried to contact the seller back on ebay but his profile is not available. i Have contacted ebay and i havent got any positive responds..I will like to know if there is a way to remotely have the phone unlocked or i will be glad if you can advise me on what to do about this situation ...thank you

Honestly, your best bet is to put it back on EBay, list it as an AT&T iPhone if you know that's what it is, and try to recover your losses.

If you bought it from some joker on eBay, chances are that it's not going to be eligible to be unlocked by AT&T. Sell it and try to get some of your money back.
