iPhone 4 unlock

hi..

bought an iphone 4 nearly almost a year ago now while on holidays in u.s and now i have i useless device back in my country.

paid the phone off plans but still the device is locked on at&t .

is there any solution. its only an ipod touch for now

There are at least 4 other threads in active discussion regarding this. No, there is currently no way to unlock an iPhone that was purchased locked to AT&T. Period. End of story. If you need an unlocked iPhone, sell the one you have via the secondary market (eBay or the like) and purchase one. AT&T has never unlocked iPhones, and barring Congressional or regulatory intervention, I don't see this changing.
