Already have my wifes phone actually... I ordered it at 4am on the 7th and received it at 11am on the 14th ...  Now, I didn't order mine until thr 17th, so my phone is sitting in Pending/Backordered... But yes, we did get one already (and on 'time')

I ordered my white iphone 4s 16gb  on 10/10. It says wait 21-28 days. Do you think I will get it during that time or no? I have a feeling I wont!

Well, just confirmed after escalating twice that because AT&T shipped my phones to the wrong address, and even though they now acknowledge that the shipping error was their fault, my original order date no longer counts because the phones were returned as undeliverable, and I'm back in queue to wait again.  They offered to escalate my call again, but I'm tired of wasting my time (especially when I was told to expect a call-back the first time in two hours, and it was more like six).  AT&T simply doesn't care that it was their fault.  They insist I'm not being penalized for their mistake, and that it's just necessary to handle it this way.  I call cow pie.  AT&T has chosen to ignore customer service because it costs less to pay a bunch of people to say "I'm sorry" than it does to do the right thing.  When Amazon shipped a wrong item to me, they not only apologized for their error, but also offered to replace the order that day with next-day shipping for free.  Take a lesson, AT&T.

i think if you ordered on the 8th - 9th , it will take longer because the weekend it might be closed for shipping ....

If you're looking to cancel your oder and you placed it via the website then call 1-866-391-0749.  I just noticed that I'm finally able to view my order status when I log in to OLAM and the phone number is listed as a contact.

Just to let people know who are following this thread. ATT has reversed their policy and is now allowing pre-orders to be canceled.  I was able to cancel my pre-order today by talking with CSR at 1-866-391-0749. .   Hopefully I can go to an Apple store now and get a phone (maybe some customer service as well, even though using ATT is much less appealing than it has ever been before).

Canceled but will try to get resolution: I filed with BBB and would like to encourage others to as well.  It may be one of the only ways to get ATT to actually react to the problems their over selling pre-orders has caused.  Please see my earlier post at Shipping and Info for language used in the complaint (may save you time if you are willing to file a complaint).

I should not be bitter since others have been waiting longer, but I had 2 iPhones in-hand and ready to check out and the clerk told me he could not sell them to me as an upgrade since I had a pending pre-order and he could not cancel the pre-order.  But now it’s been canceled within ten minutes (plus a week) and I am left holding a grudge.  O well, hope I can still get what I want, when I want it (plus a week).

I feel it was a great idea of Pre-Ordering, however, left in the hands of  at&t ,we know how not to provide customer service. 

There is no reason for someone to NOT be able to cancel an order when not shipped / received. Even better because the company does not absorb the costs of shipping to that person. At this point the phone(s) will be shipped when they are shipped. Yes it is frustrating at the highest level to be told many answers to the same questions.  I say it again, even though I know at&t is looking at these posts; SHAME ON YOU AT&T. You can do better and should.

Good question!!! I am happy for those people getting their phones, even though I ordered on the 7th. It just makes me even more confused as to what kind of system AT&T is using. Oh, my mistake for thinking they are using a system, lol

ordered around 4pm on the 7th. canceled today finally after getting the run around by AT&T. I tried to cancel it twice before and was denied. they even gave me a 50 dollar credit on my account on Monday. as of today they still had no shipping info and still giving me the "your phone is here but waiting to be shipped from our warehouse" excuse....cancelled and waited on a line at the apple store for an hour and got my phone...at&t should be ashamed of themselves

It appears the phones are being shipped from TX, with a time of 6:34ish pm. I am thinking that this is the time your status will change tonight (if its going to change.) FYI

I just found this new way of checking, not sure if it's right. 

Yesterday, some csr told me my phone was not shipping out because I didn't activate it... anyway, I did what she said, went to https://www.wireless.att.com/activations/, tried to active a phone I haven't yet received. I went all the way thru until the IMEI number appears obviously as some random numbers. 

But today when I retry that, the system told me iPhone needs to be activated by iTunes. I guess that at least means the system recognized there is an iPhone affiliated with my account. 

Hope you try this and find the same

I dont understand how people can just go into any apple store and purchase the phone while people who have pre ordered have to wait for the iPhone5 to come out before they finally recieve the 4S...People pre-order for a reason...to have the phone without standing in "black-friday" type of line....but this is actually worse....nobody can get a straight answer from anyone...blows my mind
