iPhone 4S Order Status - Shipping - Info Updates [ Edited ]

My orders just came off backorder as well sometime between 6ish my time and just now 9p my time.  Hoping this means shipping is coming soon  ordered 2 16G Black on 10/7 at around 4:30pm MT in Store.  Good luck to those that are still waiting, seems things are moving along now and that you will probably get your phone during the time window they quoted you as I was quoted 14-21 days and today is day 17.

I have a feeling, though, that they are going to send them out 2-day shipping now. It seems that everybody that is getting them in the past day, or so, has not been getting overnight shipping. I wonder if giving everybody credits has anything to do with it. Trying to save money, no doubt. I guess we'll find out.

I was going to call and push for overnight shipping, but figured I'd better just leave it alone. If it is going to finally ship, I don't want to foul anything up.

I joined ATT a week ago to order the iphone 4s. Anyone like myself just order one new know what the estimated time frame to receive them is? The site says 3-4 weeks. I am hoping there's a chance it may come early?? Thanks.

I check the forums every once in awhile to see how everybody's orders are coming along and u get SI excited about the off back order reports so I rush to check my status and sadly still back ordered. Hopefully not for much longer!

Well, my wifes Black 32G came off backorder about that same time of night last Friday, and Saturday she had a tracking number, so I'm hoping the same thing will happen to us!

After weeks of waiting for my pre-ordered iphone 4s (10/7/11 in store at 1:00 pm Pacific time) my order went off backorder finally today at 8:30 pacific time. Im just waiting for my tracking number and ill be happy.
It is a 4s 16gb black

i hope everyones painful wait for the iphone 4s is over soon

Just checked and mine was finally taken off of backorder. Ordered a black 16 GB in store at 5:30 CDT on 10/7

when i go to https://www.wireless.att.com/order_status

it shows my iphone white 4s 64gb is on 'pending shipment'

but when i go to my att Order status under "my orders" when i log into account, it still says BackOrder

anyone know what that means? should I get my hopes up or not ?

nvm i just noticed under "QTY back-ordered" it says 1 under the 3 items "iphone , frieght, and var sim" , that is SAD lol

i wonder when the people who pre ordered on oct 8 will start getting theirs, i noticed most people here who posted pre ordered the 16gb mostly, so taht means the 64gb should be shipping out as well since nobody ordered them that much right

Looks like a lot of in store orders from 10/7 came off back order today.  Maybe that means mine will come off back order within the next couple of days ordered 16g Black in store about 1:30 central time.

Just got off backorder today.......complained to CEO, response recvd from AT&T exec response team, grace Milton. She new nothing, had no authority to do jack squat, except say I'm sorry, I know how frustrated you feel....blah blah blah. Was told bybherbif I cancelled would lose upgrade elig (not true!). Have filed complaint with BBB of Atlanta. Dang you AT&T, you need to figure this out, how many iPhone releases have there been now?!!

my order went off back order last night Califronia time around 8pm - 9pm. Around 3pm today I recieved a shipping notice and I should get the phone on wednesday. My in-store order went in at 3:59pm 10/7, but i ordered at 11:30am 10/7.

everyone on california time with instore orders should be very soon.

Just got another text from my bank, they took out everything but the activation fee. Is that a good sign? I checked my order status through Premier and it still says processing. Maybe they are waiving the activation fee! They should, shoo.

I've been posting in both topics, so I figured I'd give an update in here as well.

Recieved my phone today around 2:30 PM and this was in my "spam" folder. I feel a little silly now... 

Any good news for anyone else?

The situation is hopefully over for me, Order Oct 7th @ 11:34 am PST Victorville, CA. Told I would get the phone on Launch day. Received thank you purchase from store. Did not receive confirmation on Oct 7th. Placed on Back Order on Wednesday. Did not come Friday. Saturday came and went - no iphone. Called CSR no information. Wrote letter to CEO Sunday night. Received call from executive customer relations on Monday morning - nice conversation and at least an apology. Also obtained my Confirmation letter from her with new date of 14 -21 days and email for shipping warehouse changed so that I could get future emails. Called CSR on Wednesday - no good information but offered $75 then rescinded. Why don't know but I believe it had something to do ordering in the store (who could figure). Thursday CSR told me I could cancel to get a phone elsewhere, I decline at this point. Friday 4:35pm PST obtained $25 credit off bill from CSR no information given. Later on Friday - 9:10pm PST off backorder. Saturday no change, Sunday no Change - called CSR - no information provided except that the email the warehouse had was incorrect again. They could not change it told to contact the store. Called the store and they were able to change the email address the warehouse uses to notify us. Still off backorder and no shipping tracking number. Monday 10/24 - 2:43 pm Memphis TN package picked up. Expected delivery Wednesday 26th 4:16pm PST. Still have not received notice from AT&T that they shipped my phone. What can I say but this has been one bumpy ride as I stated in an earlier message. To many minutes on the 3Gs used. It gets better. I won't be home on Wednesday & Thursday (scheduled to work). Had they sent it Saturday I would have gotten on my day off. As it stands I won't get it till Friday. Unless of course they leave it at the door. So needless to say, I can sum this up in one phrase "This pre-order process from AT&T was a joke"

Lets just hope I actually get it.  Thanks for listening, encouragement, and letting me vent.

Just wanted to update everyone that it seems my order is now off back-order. Still wondering when it will ship, and ultimately when it will be delivered. As a 10/7 walk-in preorder, I was promised it would ship sometime this week (the 14-21 days from order date story lots of people have been getting) so we'll see if they keep their promises. It is now apparent (and clear) that AT&T is not handling orders FIFO in a strict sense.

Well I ordered mine on the 7th and it also just went off backorder yesterday so there appears to no rhyme or reason. Location, type of phone, way it was ordered for instance, all play into it possibly.
I ordered a blk 16 gig on the 7th at an AT&T store at about 2 pm in Denver co.

I had preordered on Oct. 7th a little bit after 3 pm EST @ a Portsmouth, NH store. Was told it will be at my door on the launch day or a week after. Never got an order confirmation email, but got 4 texts whith questions about how my experience was with the ATT CSR at the store! My order just went from Back- ordered to Processing! Hope it will go to shipped soon!

Well I was able to check my status finaly today... Despite being told numerous times that it was activated in the warehouse and awaiting shipment.  The status here says it is backordered!

What is even more agrivating is the order date listed here is 10/11 !?  When I infact pre-ordered on the 7th and have the email that states it would be delivered on the 14th... And if I check my status on the buisiness order site, it shows the order dates as the 8th... and doesn't show anything about its status except "pre-ordered"...

Been checking out this forum since I placed my order by phone on the 12th through a Premier account.  I was misled on by ATT about the backorder.  However, my phone just came off backorder this morning.  It may be because I complained to the BBB but maybe not.
