Wow, when I started visiting this forum for updates on 10/30, people who pre-ordered still hadn't recieved their phones. Now, people are ordering and recieving their tracking numbers the next day. Consider yourself lucky from the comments I've read! I too am lucky in that I ordered 10/29 and will recieve my phone tomorrow 11/9.

Not to mention in that waiting time I have recieved 2 emails asking me to contact att for more info.....and each time the rep said there was nothing wrong with the order....second time was told they "manually entered" my order and saw no problems and everything should be fine and I am now still waiting.....checking the dang website like 2o times a day....never changes....Uh!

My 16gig black came off back order late last night. It's still processing. How long does it usually take for it to ship, anyone know???

Availability seems to be highly dependent on model and color. It looks like AT&T must have just gotten a batch of phones in, at least the 32GBs, so those seem to be going out fast while other models are still on backorder.

I ordered a white 16 gig 4S on October 29th at 6:42 pm in store. It came off back order sometime between 5 and 7:26 pm today. Hopefully I get it before I go out of town this weekend.

So it took about 1 week to 1 and a half to get off back order, that sounds like 14 days total, good news to me.

Well ladies and gentlemen, my black 32 gb 4S arrived today and it works flawlessly. I placed the order on Nov. 1 through Premier and received it today Nov. 8. One week from ordering to phone in hand. No complaints here. I wish everyone the best of luck getting your iPhone soon.

So Now that I see its on back order, can I Call AT&T and Cancel My Shipment and If my Apple Store has them in stock can I just pick it up from them, or how would that work?

The represenative over the phone told me when I first started placing my order that the Iphone 4S usually is shipping within 7-14 Days now, but it is first come first serve.

Any insight on what I could do to get my phone faster would help? If not I will just be forced to wait, Just wanted to see if you guys could help.

I too wanted to cancel mine and was told i could not, but some people got there orders canceled, so i don't know.

I don't know what the deal is with the 64GB phones!!!! I ordered my 64GB Black 4s on the 18th of October and I still don't have it because it is on TA-DAHHH!!!! BACKORDER!!! Why even list this Model if you were not going to have them for a month after you said we (Joe Public) could buy them? The only thing that needed to be said was iPhone4s in 16 and 32GB available now and soon in 64GB. Then all of us poor sot's who said "ooooohhh 64 huh..... I think I will...." Wouldn't be upset and would have just waited a month or so for it to drop. WAIT.......you did release it a month after the others DUH HUH. I'm a big dummy...you said 21-28 days out which turns out wasn't a (if the ship blows a engine we will have to find another way to get them here) worst case scenario. It was a they aren't even built yet and its a Chinese Holiday scenario......Why didn't you just say that?

Hey guys, I have been kind of keeping up with this thread. Had a few questions.

I ordered my phone from an AT&T store in Oregon.  It just came off back-order a few hours ago, no tracking number yet. I was wondering if I will get the phone by friday or if they deliever on Saturdays? 

Also, I am sorry to hear all of you that ordered so long ago still havent gotten your phones yet. AT&T needs to compensate you guys.

Does anyone know the hold up... Friday Makes it 21 days for me... my 28th day will be on NOv. 19 If it's not here on that day im going to att and canceling my order.. this is just ridiculous and stupid... why make the customers wait so long... and also i called att to cancel and they said they could'nt becuz the order is still floatin around and they have no way of stopping the transaction until the phone reaches my house- like what the hello why would i want to cancel it if i onced recived it? dang it att you screwin up big time! After that they told me to call customer service then cs connected me to someone else then that person connect me to another and the others just say that you can cancel in-store? like what the heck!!!!!!!!!!!11

I have faith in ATT!!! Ordered 4s over the phone 11-1-11. Was initially advised 5-7 days. Called back next day for reassurance and was advised actually 21-28 days  On 11-7-11 Received FED EX 2 DAY PARCEL SERVICE EMAIL CONFIRMATION!!! Took Day off work to wait for iPhone 4s lol.

THE STORY:

I sold my i4 2 weeks ago thinking I would just be able to walk into Apple or ATT and buy the new one. I was in for a rude awakening when ATT rep told me 21-28 days. In addition was advised that my upgrade was changed to February 2012 suddenly, instead on November 2011! :rage: Store manager advised thier hands were tied at the corporate store level so I'd have to contact Toll Free. A nice lady resolved my issue and corrected my upgrade eligibility back to November. I paid for my iPhone 4S with her, she waived shipping for my troubles, and actually delivered on her promise. 5-7 Business days despite me calling back the next day for assurance and another rep advising me 21-28 days. I ordered a 64GB Black Iphone 4S on 10/15 over the phone with ATT.  Order was on backorder until Monday, went to check this morning and order said CANCELLED!!!  I am on the phone with the customer care department and she's telling me that Iphone 4S orders could not be paid with a debit card, it has to be a credit card. 

This makes noooooo sense as on 10/15 when I placed the order ATT happily charged my card and the money came out, that next week, the money was put back in.  I am livid....here I have been waiting almost 30 days for this phone and they cancel my order. 

They are now telling me that I have to open up a case.....I'm not doing that!!  Did anyone else order with a debit card?

Ordered 64GB IP4S/BLK 10/27/2011 (13 days ago) over the phone, but my e-mail address was incorrect I called on the 28th they corrected it and then I accepted the new agreement, so that is why it shows 10/28/2011--still on backorder.

By the way, in addition to everyone reporting here, I would be highly interested in what the Order Number means in terms of when you will be getting the phone?

Ordered two white 4S 16GB online on November 1, just got notified that they have both shipped (on 11/9).   

Used a debit card and there was no issue with the card.
