iPhone 4S Order Status - Shipping - Info Updates

I ordered my 16 gig white iPhone from Apple thinking it would get here faster, becasuse Apple said 1-2 weeks while AT&T said 14-21 days. Well I'm still waiting. All it says its "PROCESSING SHIPMENT".  I know it's only been a weeks time, but I'm seeing people order two days after me on different threads and theirs have already shipped! I'm starting to get irrated! Apple took out the 199$ for the phone the day I ordered and put it on hold, but now its showing it back on my account.. I called Apple and she said everything was fine!! Did anyone else order on 11.14.11? And the Apple rep said it was coming from China, which I figured it would, but I'm on the West Coast and their days are our nights, and so on. Do they work 24-7? Or what? I'm confused?

Think the only people who are getting it in only 2-3 days are those who are ordering from AT&T AND are ordering a model that they happen to have in stock at their Ft. Worth warehouse on the day they order. Think for Apple, it all comes from China, and they may still be behind on some models, having to wait until they manufacture a batch before they send them out.

I lucked out. I originally ordered from Apple on Saturday, but when I saw that people here were getting their Black 32GBs pretty quick, I canceled my Apple order on Monday morning, reordered through AT&T and got the phone on Thursday.

Ordered two 64gb (one blk and 1 wht) in ATT store on 10/29. The blk was shipped on 11/18 and the wht is shipping today, 11/21. They both show a planned delivery on 11/22.

White 64gb 4S ordered in AT&T store on 10/29... 11/20 the backordered quatity went from 1 to 0!

Today, Tracking number emailed and on site as shipped with arrival via fedex 11/22!! I am pleased.... AT&T store was spot on with ETA...

Well I check my staus on Apple.com today, and it's still showing as "PROCESSING ITEMS." It's been that way now for a week. I ordered last Monday. I think I'm just going to cancel my order and order from AT&T, the iPhones seem to be shipping faster. I hope I'm doing the right thing. I got out of town on the 12th for 3 weeks and I hate to see it not be delieved until after that. My dates with Apple are Nov 28th - Dec 5th. Should I cancel and order from AT&T, or just wait a few more days. I don't know how it's done in China, because of their hours.

Also AT&T says 3-5 days shipping for the 16 gig iPhone 4S. I"m calling AT&T right now to make sure this is right, because if it is, I'm canceling my Apple order.

So mine is showing now as pending shipment. Does this mean it is about to ship, because it's also still staying back-ordered????

Nope, mine said Pending Shipment the entire 3 weeks in was listed on BACKORDER. Until there is a 0 under the backorder column, nothing is happening. Once my backorder went to 0 - I have the tracking infomation withing a day.

my qty backorded just went to 0 - but it also says qty shipped 0. does this mean it will ship today?

now when they have them in stock. about 30 days ago you would have a long wait.

a11victum, did you ever get your iPhone 4s?

I canceled mine after waiting a ~month, since it would of gotten canceled anyway (after 30 days on hold), I'll wait for the next model.

@jpiszcz Yes I got it after 45 days of waiting and two months full service credit. Basically first two months of service is free.
