when i got my iphone, i just added the $20 data plan to my existing plan. I want more text messages than what that includes but i dont want the next iphone plan up($30 for 1500 texts) most of the people i text also have at&t so i want to add the message starter plan with unlimited mobile to mobile texting but i dont see that option for me anywhere as an iphone user. i figure it should add $5 more per month to my bill and i should get unlimited mobile to mobile in addition to the 200 texts to anyone that i already currently have. is it possible to get this on the iphone? thanks!

     Unfortuantly no you cant, the iPhone has the sms included in the bundle with the data, so you iwll have to upgrade  the iPhone plan to get more sms.

     I stand corrected on my info posted earlier, yes you can add on the additional sms packages just like a normalk non-iPhone account can.

I just called 611 yesterday and they added the unlimited mobile to mobile texting for 5.00 on my iphone account.  My iPhone data plan now reads 25.00.

ive had the 25 dollar data+ unlimited m2m since day one...... its possible just call them.

Thanks very much for this information. I just called 611 added it to my account. Didn't even know about it. The customer service guy said the 200 text message allowance per month is reserved for text messages you send to non AT&T subscribers.

if i call tody and get that added on, when will it take effect? starting now or does it begin next billing period?

     It should take effect right away, but customer care can give to confirmation on that for you.

thanks for all the help guys!! I called earlier and got it done. The lady didnt even know it waspossible to get on the iPhone! And yes it did go right into effect! Thanks again

 When I called CC(customer care) they told me that package for unlimited data and text was $40. How come everyone else has a plan for $25
