Maybe the WIDI software is triggering the registration process in U-verse. Do you have wireless turned on? Try it Turned off.
Is you WIDI receiver connected to the U0verse network? Try it disconnected.
Make sure the WIDI signal is not getting in to the U-verse network.

the "widi software" is the program you use for wireless display so you can display from your laptop to your tv

i dont have any u-verse apps installed on my computer (is there even an app for pc??)
dunno how the software is triggering the reg proccess of uverse.. i have the older non wireless reciver boxes (if that matters).. and my laptop is connected to my network via wireless.. and if i turn off my wireless network it will also turn off my widi
my widi receicer is connected to my tv

Seems like the widi software is generating a request that appears to u-verse that it is trying to initiate a link to the STB. Since it is not valid, it is generating an error message.
Sounds like the trigger is coming in through the u-verse wireless. As a test - turn off the wireless in your u-verse modem. PC to widi is still on.
Which makes me think of something else - Isn't the STB on one TV input & the widi box on another? If the STB is generating the error message on the TV, the TV is on the wrong input.
Or, is the error message on your PC? What kind of wireless does the widi system use? If the message is on the pC, sounds like u-verse is picking up the widi instructions - the two "systems" are not sufficiently isolated to work independently on wireless.
