AT&T has always blocked access to BB Maps. They want you to use their navigation app.

davidusr - go here on your Torch browser: http://www.blackberry.com/send/maps
You should be able to download and install the fix to have the BB maps icon show up. I did it and it works on mine (though I prefer GoogleMaps).

My icon doesn't stay either however, here is what I do.
Download the ribbon so you have access to the maps. Click on BB Maps and let it find your location (like Home). Once GPS has your location hit Menu and select Copy Location. Now back out of that and open Contacts. Create a new Contact and call it BB Maps (or whatever you wish). In the Notes section at the bottom Paste in your BB Maps location link that you just copied. Save the contact. Now whenever you want BB Maps, pull up the contact and just hit the link.
To take it a step further highlite the Contact, press Menu and select Add to Home Screen. Now you almost have the ribbon back and this time it wont go away ![]()

The download did not work for me. I downloaded the lbs_ribbon file and restarted. The Maps icon shows for a while, but then dissappears again! I have a BB Torch. Anyone else see this? Is there any fix for it? Thanks!
UPDATE
Just saw the post above mine, so am trying it now. Will report back.

So far so good. Now if you ever figure out how to create an icon and link, we'd have the next best thing! Thanks

It works< However I dont like it... I pay TOP DOLLAR to ATT... I expect to get what I pay for. I have a torch supposed to be the latest and the greatest. Yet I’m copying links and pasting this and that to make an App work on my phone. I have my Son on Metro PCS because I take away his phone if his grades are not up to my expectations. 60 Dollars a month same package I get from ATT at half the price. Guess what??? BB maps Icon stays on his phone!!!! I might just be moving on if this does not get fixed.
This is ONE VERY DISATISFIED USER !!! And I know its ATT blocking it. Because If I take out my simm card and connect useing Wi-Fi the icon stays there (Tested for 2 days) However I cant stay connected to my Wi fi all the time !
